Wang's Restaurant

On a recommendation from a friend, I brought my family to Wang's. Its under new ownership. This nice restaurant is tucked away and not easy to see. But it was worth it. My brother announced that it was the best eggplant and best Chinese he had in the city. My father asked when we will go back again. The food is fresh cooked and done with care. I asked about the new owners and found out the husband had been the cook at the top rated Chinese restaurant in Missouri before moving here. Family run and very nice people. While we ate, there was a steady stream of take-out orders going out to nearby apartments. Its near Hopkins Crossroad & Cedar Lake Rd in a strip mall south a block from the Holiday station on Greenbrier. Its worth finding. more

This was the worst lunch buffet we've ever had. There was hardly anything on it and what was there was very old and cold. it was 12:30 so it should have been prime lunch time. We asked them to make a couple items that were completely empty on the buffet and we waited 45 minutes then they said they forgot. The staff is rude and does not care about it's customers. Our check was $17.00 for lunch for only 3 items on a cold buffet! TERRIBLE!!!! more

Very good chinese food. Something that appealed to me is that they don't use chicken thighs in their chicken dishes. Their sauces are well made. Recently had Ta Chien chicken and was very pleased with the fresh vegetables and tender white meat chicken. Pretty good chicken potstickers. The vegetable fried rice is plain and without much flavor. Good portions and friendly staff. The dining room looks outdated, but that doesn't matter to me since I don't plan on dining in. The prices seem fair compared to other chinese places in the area, certainly not on the high side. One of my favorite chinese places in the Minnetonka area. This may not be useful to some readers, but I have never gotten a foodborne illness from eating here. I just went back and had the General Tzo's chicken...the sauce was too thick, but had a good taste. The vegetable egg foo young had a different texture this time...it was missing the bean sprouts, but gravy was fine. Pros: Above average taste and value more

Once you have Wang's pork fried rice you will never want to eat any other pork fried rice. I have had other things and it is all good but now I really only ever have pork fried rice....SO GOOD. more

I had been to many chinese restaurants in twin cities. With out any doubt Wang's Restaurant in Minnetonka is the best. Food quality is excellent and they serve more quantity for less price.
