I started going to Walt's in 2004 when they had a location on Capitol Hill; they've worked on a few of my vehicles over the years. I actually took a fondness to the manager there, Jim, and his yippie dog, Angel, and ended up following Jim around as he moved first to a South Seattle store, then to Aurora, and now at Wallinford. All the Walt's locations have always been great, and I've *never* had any issues with any of the work they've done. (I've taken my Honda to specialized places like Greg's Japanese Auto and have consistently had problems!) Walt's Wrench shops are consistently great, in terms of car work and customer service--and the personality of the managers. They also have a coupon deal where you can pay $60 for a coupon book of 4 oil changes, various other diagnostic services for free, and one or two coupons for 1/2 labor (alone worth $40).
Pros: Consistently perfect mechanic service; quick diagnostic; great pre-pay oil change/diagnostic deal.
Cons: Wish weekday hours were longer (later than 5:30 p.m.); waiting area can be grimy so don't wear white.
