My grandson went to visit his mother for the first time in 2 1/2 months. He spent such a long time looking perfectly groomed for her. NO WHERE in the web site does it say a minor child (15) needs an ID. He visited before when he was 14 and and ID was NOT needed, I do not have the papers he needs to get a $20 Ga. ID. They are packed in his mother's storage - somewhere. more

im seeing all this bad reviews about the jail yes when i went to drop off things for my son the guy was very rude and degrading to me. i smiled and asked him if he was having troubles at home lol. i have to say when there is a problem and you call the captian action is taken. they can tell good people when they see them YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN. thanks to yaall at walton county jail for your help with my son.GOD BLESS the ones who do the job the way it should be done. more

i have a mental health child in walton county jail instead of letting have the help she needs . they are just holding her because shes has mental problems theses inmates dont get the things they need like medcine food Pros: god will meet you one day Cons: being unfair more

Inmate listings and charges? 1/21/2010

The women aren't treated like the men when it comes to trustees, Guards are weird, agitating, and rude when they don't have to be. So, some inmates do stupid things like, bite,spit, touch others, purposely annoy guards... but not all of them. you need more than a toothbrush, towel, & bar of soap for hygenic purposes. Especially being a woman. Aren't jails supposed to take you outside every once in awhile too? Hell, what's the big yard for with all the barbwire? for Looks? I think just a waste in tax payer dollars. Jail isn't supposed to be fun but do you have to feel like you in a mildewing ditch all the time? Pros: there is no pros Cons: can't find who's in and who's out more

The Worst Jail in Georgia? 4/21/2009

Having served time in Walton County Jail, I can tell you that it is perhaps the worst example of a professional corrections institution from what I have heard from inmates who have done time in the Georgia Systems. Cons: Everything more
