Walter Knox Memorial Hospital

I have had the pleasure of meeting several people from this hospital, now Valor health! I had to come into town to take care of my dad. He was with them for a while. I know if I said his name they would remember him but because of privacy I will not With that said he's a grumpy poop sometimes and can be demanding. He I am sure did not act great, but he will always remember the excellent care. Kathy, Nick, Rihanna, Tiffany, Tracy are only a few of the names I remember on that board he sent me pictures of. I know he was a difficult patient and I thank you for putting up with him for so long. From some things I have seen about the old name I have got to say this hospital is in fact amazing. they have very kind understanding people working for them. Thank you again for all your hard work and helping my father get better! Bless all of you more

Kerrie was my nurse very respectful gal. Respected my privacy listened and really cared about me. Doc Ondler was great to I was with them for a better part of my night. I couldn’t have asked for better care! more

Valor Health has a great and caring staff. Dr. Hines, orthopedics, is amazing. Better than over the hill. more

The business manager told me (in a letter) that CT scans were "interpreted, read" by a PA. PA's do not read x-ray material. They may look at them but the actual reading is done by a radiologist with the results given to the PA or doctor. Who gives them to the patient in layman terms. In this case I was told that 'some' organs were three times normal size. A trip to St. Luke's ER that same say showed no problems with any internal organs. Valor thinks it is entitled to the balance of $330 after insurance for such in accurate work. The business manager thinks people are dumb enough to believe that the PA "interprets" the results. This is a hospital? more

A better and brighter hospital. Great community hospital. Great services more

I have been to our local hospital a few times, usually when my kids are sick, and its after DR hours. I was here once when my little one needed stitches. I am usually surprised about the wait, because there never seems to be anybody around, so I don;t understand what the wait is about. Although I have never had a bad situation here, I do know of a child who was misdiagnosed, and ended up really sick with a pneumonia. WKNH told the mom that she 'just had a cold" and sent them home. After the child didn't;t get better, only worse, they went to another hospital out of town the next day. Its convenient to have for a small town, but probably not the best of care. more
