Walmart Alcohol ID request insult 6/20/2011

I have been a loyal customer to the Walmart Market Place for over 3 years...at least 4 times a week and many times even more. About a month ago I walked in about 1am, made my purchase of snacks for the kids. My husband happened to be coming home from work and stopped by to purchase alcohol knowing my ID had been left at home. He was in line behind me, leaned over and kissed me before I started to walk out the door (at this point I had been over 10 feet from the cashier). The cashier, who I believe is named Eric stopped me and asked to see my ID. I asked why. He said we need to ID all people in a group purchasing alcohol. I explained that I was walking out the door before my husband even went to the register. We had the manager brought over and she explained that we will do it this time but not again. I am 41 and purchase a bottle a week from this store so I have been ID'd several times and never question this. When I was not even purchasing alcohol and having to argue with the clerk and the manager over this was not only a nuisance but an insult. After all this, we actually walked out of the store without purchasing the alcohol and refuse to even go to the store if this clerk is working.\r Unfortunately, this was actually the second weird incident with this clerk. About a week before, I was purchasing a bottle of wine and he asked my 13 year old daughter for her ID. I said ""she is 13, I don't allow her to drink nor is she old enough to have an ID."" I didn't think much of the situation since I was in a hurry and my daughter and me kind of laughed since it just seemed odd. From now on, we just choose not to go there.\r It's quite sad because of one or two employees that make customers feel this way.\r A funny story to go with this... A few days after this incident, I was walking into the store for redbox. A couple was walking out and the gentleman stopped me and said ""If you bring your dog into the store when you purchase beer, make sure he has an ID or you won't be able to purchase it."" I thought it was funny since I apparently am not the only person dealing with this. \r I feel bad since I actually enjoy the rest of the employees in this store and outside of this one employee, I would grade this store as excellent.I hope someone cares enough to make an improvement to this. \r more

I can not tell you how many times I have driven past this store and have seen picketing people out in front. Dont they have anything better to do? This store is always clean, and is very convenient especially on days that you're needing topick somethig up for dinner on the way home from work! Quick in and out. Great prices just like the wal mart superstore Pros: Clean, Great prices, Convenient Cons: nothing more
