Wally's Poodle Salon-Pet Motel

Our mini poodle Beau has been going to Wally's for over 2 years. Our standard puppy Valentino started at 3 months. I have to say they are the best! Pete usually does the grooming and he is WONDERFUL. They come out looking GORGEOUS and he was great with the puppy, getting him used to baths and grooming. We used to live less then 10 minutes away but have since moved to Norfolk in the past 2 weeks. It is alot further away now, but we will still continue to go. In fact we will be there Monday. As far as pricing goes, they are very fair, much better then Pet-smart or other large chain stores. Not to mention the groomers at Wally's are by far superior. There is no comparison. I would recommend calling for an appt.on a Monday if you want to get in that week... more

We have a 7 year old Westie that we have always takin to Wally's. She has always been returned well taken care of and well groomed. The staff is very friendly and prompt. Make sure to call ahead the day before and you should have no problem getting an appointment for the next day or so. They were even kind enough to take an emergency cleaning when our westie was misfortunate enough to take a walk under the car and get grease on her. We have never had problems with neglect of any kind, especially when they used to board our dog. more

This was my first encounter with Wally's. I was relieved to see ""all goings on"" out in plain view. The salon is clean and attention to detail is obvious. Wally is warm and reassuring. Soft towels are in each crate. I explained to Wally what type of cut I wanted for Goo Goo and my concerns for her well being and he was very comforting. When I picked up Goo Goo, she looked beautiful and was in good spirits. This told me she was not mistreated. I also appreciated the fact that she smelled clean but was not over powering with sticky perfume smells. She did not have bows bound by rubber bands on her ears which I appreciated. To top off my experience, the cost was more than fair and she looked better than any other time I had her groomed. So, do your pet a favor and take your treasured pet to Wally's! I have boarded my dogs at Wally's on two occasions with fine results. However, the boarding issue is moot as the business has relocated and is no longer boarding dogs. Pros: Friendly, excellent service Cons: Your appointment may be a week out. more

My dog stayed at Wally's for several days during the holidays. The people were friendly and helpful when we dropped him off. When we received him he was 15 Lbs. underweight and extremely thirsty. His ribs and spine were sticking out and he had a glazed look in his eyes. When we came home, he immediately drank 3/4ths of a gallon of water, like he had not had water in days. All of his food was gone, leaving the appearance that he had ate normally, but he was clearly undernourished. Pros: Friendly Cons: Pet was neglected more
