Good: Judy is very personable and helpful as is her staff. We have enjoyed making many family projects at Walls of Clay as well as we just had a very fun birthday party there. My 7 year old's class created a personalized "garden" plate for their teacher out their fingerprints with Judy's wonderful help. It turned out SO CUTE!! LOVE the precious keepsakes! Love how we are inspired by all the pieces in the shop as well as books on hand and by Judy and her staff. Ideal for families that love to paint together!. Bad: I wish I could do this all of the time! Judy offers an array of items to paint for many different purposes - for personal, professional, school, home, and more.. Improvements: To continue to watch this business blossom and grow. It is a special staple to downtown McKinney and our wonderful community.. Other: It is a great experience for all ages! Our 3 year old's artwork has a look all its own and is absolutely beautiful. We have had Nana along for a special trip and it was a very special afternoon together in Judy's quaint shop on the square.. more

I have done lots of ladies nights here and just days when my kids were in school! My MOPS group is getting ready to do a Moms Nite Out here next month and we are all getting really excited! One cool thing is that we can bring goodies to munch and drinks in! Another cool thing I've figured out is that you get charged for glazing/firing/supplies per painter instead of per piece! This has saved me lots! The owner is the nicest woman and is very accomodating. Her birthday party room is darling! I had my birthday there once a few years ago and I had a great time! more

The Walls of Clay is located in Mckinney just off the square. It is a neat little ceramic shop where you can make your own pottery and decorate it. They also offer classes for one person or groups, or parties for all kinds of occasions. It is a great place to have a teenagers birthday party for a new and fun idea. This is a great place to go by yourself or take your kids! They have a wide variety of bisque which you choose from - all vary in prices, then for a minimal fee you get to paint them in the store . You leave the bisque there to be fired and collect it about a week later. It is great to make gifts for grandparents - that you child can personalize. They also run childrens camps and evenings for woman or groups to go paint. more

Walls of Clay is a really neat ceramic art studio located just off the Square in McKinney. The owner lives in McKinney and opened Walls of Clay as the answer to her love of ceramics and the lack of another studio in the area. Walls of Clay offers birthday parties, girls nights out, and individual sessions. Call them for more details. The prices are reasonable - there is a flat sitting fee for use of their paints and brushes. The ceramics have a wide range of price for different budgets. more

This art studio combines the skills of pottery making with painting. I consider it to be a very unique idea, because this way you explore both directions of this form of art. This is a paint on pottery art facility. They have classes and studio, hours of operations are very flexible and they are opened pretty late on weekends as well.
