Worst service ever!!! 11/17/2010

Went with my friend for lunch and we were one of the first tables in. It wasn't crowded initially, but it still took for ever for the waiter to come over. Once he did he took our drink order, but said he would be back to take our food order. He disappeared for what seemed 20 minutes. Once we did order our food came out in a reasonable time, but we never saw our waiter again. We had to ask other wait staff to help us. He eventually showed up as we were leaving to take his tip. Please keep in mind the owner, Robert was rude as well when we went to tell him the service was less then acceptable. He didn't seem to care at all. There are many other places to eat in Garden City and I suggest you spend your time and money else where. more

Second Visit Better Than The First 12/10/2007

Due to the interpretive nature of food reviews there is never universal agreement. Must state that this fellow Robert: operates a pleasant, clean upscale bistro that impressed me ever further on my second visit.\r It it distinctly evident upon being seated, that the premise is spotless and the service friendly and capable, always delivering delicious food in a proper, fine fashion.\r Please keep up the fine work. Worst Night Ever 7/24/2006

I had the opportunity to go to Walk Street and it was the worst experience of my life. The food was horrible and the service was terrible. I had a fish dish that smelled as if it were 6 months old, of course I did not eat it, my husbands fish seemed to be ok. The worst part is when the critter came crawling out from the wall right on to our table. My husband smashed it with his napkin but if that was not enough along came another, at that point it was time to leave.\r I usually eat in Garden City and find most restaurants are very good especially Waterzooi and Rouge but stay clear of Walk Street more

A great experience! 5/4/2006

From the minute you enter Walk Street, you're made to feel at home! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the decor is warm and inviting and the food is delicious! Our party had three very different dishes (a beef, a seafood and a chicken) and all were served steaming hot and were obviously freshly prepared. Our waitress was attentive but not interrupting us constantly. From salad to dessert, everything was fantastic! Pros: good parking, fresh, hot food, great service more
