THE PHARMACY HERE IS GREAT 8/1/2005

This store, they tell me, is the busiest one in all of Illinois for prescriptions processed. I believe it, they are extremely busy. When I give them more time than RIGHT NOW to fill my prescription, they are very accommodating. Right now the pharmacists, some of them, are on strike because the workload is so heavy and they are understaffed, and they do not want to make a mistake. Can't blame them. They even let you wait if you want or need your script, and are pretty realistic in telling you when it might be ready. PROS: LOCATION, CONVENIENT DRIVE THRU, REASONABLE WAIT CONS: SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEIR PRESCRITIONS NOT BE READY ON TIME more

household items 7/12/2005

I am always very surprised at how good the sales are at Walgreens. I would suggest going here for any household items, gum, and candy. They are always having sales in their ad along with coupons. Check your paper. I end up saving more at Walgreens than I would at Walmart or Target. I usually get my milk here too. The pharmacy can be pretty slow at times. more

Walgreen's is the best pharmacy. Their service is fast and efficient. Best of all, they also have grocery and cosmetics to shop for while your medicine is getting ready at the pharmacy! more

Guaranteed to Raise Your Blood Pressure 4/21/2005

While I try to look for the good in every establishment I visit and most times that isn't hard to see, I'm hard pressed to find something good about this particular Walgreen's. Every time that I attempt to locate something in the weekly advertisement, it is not to be found, unless it's something that only a select few will need to purchase and I don't fit into that particular group. The coupons they offer (or manufacturer coupons) never scan correctly and if they do, it never fails that a manager will have to come to the register in order to teach the cashier the proper keys to push to get the coupon to work. However, to add insult to injury, if the coupon hasn't scanned correctly, I'm treated as though I'm a criminal that's trying to scam the company and steal from employee's paychecks. Never mind that the coupon states the company will get it's money back plus a handling fee. I also was made to feel like an inept fool the one time I attempted to use the photo kiosk machine in order more
