I had a really bad asthma attack today, I don't have insurance so I came in to buy an over the counter box of Primatene tablets. I was a paying customer clearly having an asthma attack, my friend clearly talked to the pharmacists about my options and bought asthma medication, drinks and tissues. I was having a panic attack in the car because it was very hot and the extreme weather makes the attack much worse. I walked into the store and stood in-between the two sets of doors, not all the way in the store but next to the carts and baskets. I was attempting to catch my breathe and calm the panic attack. That is when the female cashier approached me and rudely said that I couldn't stand there and I was getting in the way of paying customers. I was also a paying customer who had just bought asthma medication, clearly having an attack and could not breathe enough to even walk. I've never been so disgusted and offended by such blatant disregard for human life. I was having a panic attack so I did get rude immediately but how can an employee at a pharmacy sell someone asthma medication, see that this paying customer is in bad shape and pretty much say can you go die somewhere else already? I'd rather see you dead in the street than allow you ten minutes in our air conditioning to catch your breathe and calm yourself down. I'm so offended by this employees cold reaction to a life threatening condition that I will never spend another dime on any Walgreens, Happy Harry's, Duane Reade, Drugstore.com, Alliance Boots, USA Drug, Super D Drug, May's Drug, Med-X or Drug Warehouse and I will be encouraging all my family members, friends, coworkers, etc. not to support your business. If you can't properly train your employees to have the common sense to allow a paying customer having an asthma attack in 95 degree heat 10 mins in the much needed cool air then I can no longer and will no longer support your company or any of your sister companies. I will be posting reviews online about my experience as well.
