As an experienced animal rescuer w/ a medical background, I have brought many personal pets & rescue fosters to Waldorf Well Pet... the experience has ALWAYS been awesome. Even my German Shepard foster with an infected ""boggie"" uterus came through a tough spay with flying colors & is doing great thanks to the WWP vets. ___ Unlike a lot of places, WWP is not money hungry & the prices are very reasonable... $10 for office visit! Plus, the only ""extras"" even mentioned was flea/tick prevention & heartworm meds... & unlike most vets these were not pushed, but simply mentioned as available. __ I find it really tragic the reviewer ""devastated"" lost their pet, but anesthesia risk are present in any vet office, using any anesthesia drug. That's why vets usually recommend bloodwork & poss other tests before surgery. Some will waive these if the owner is insistent... some will not do surgery on older or ill dogs if the risk is too great. this risk-benefit decision is true of all anesthesia drugs, not just Xylazine.
