When the crowds of the mall get me wound up, I stop off at Waldenbooks. The staff's friendly but they back off if you don't need them. When you go to check out it's like being at an old general store back in the day (think "Little House on the Prairie"). They talk like they're old friends. It's great. They have a pretty awesome selection of books and magazines and I can usually find something I like. It's not as extensive as Books A Million, but I kind of prefer it. It's a smaller store, and it's cozier. You can also save a lot of money with a Waldenbooks card.
