Wal-Mart Supercenter

This place rocks. Wal-mart Supercenter is located at 4191 S Amherst Hwy in Lynchburg. It's great. I love shopping here because I know I will always find what I am looking for. The employees are friendly and nice, and most of them will stop what they are doing to help you. I simply love getting all my business done under the same roof. I love the Radio Cafe in there. It's a nice little cafe with inexpensive, but great food. Try this store; you will be glad you did. more

I had lots of faves and still do. The best candybar back in the 60's was (and possibly still is) Hershey's with Almonds bar. Deelish! Then there were those goofy waxy wacky lips, pixy stix, good 'n plenty, milk duds (only at the movies!) and peanut mary janes. I wasn't too crazy about red hots and jawbreakers. Remember Bazooka Bubble Gum with the comic on the inner wrapper?? And, I think it was called Whammo or Blammo Gum and candy dots. more

This place has it all. Like most Wal mart super centers, you can get it ALL under one big roof. They built this store over a muddy mess.. a creek. Woody's Creek to be exact. But you would hardly know it. When I went here, we got all of our pharmaceutical items (including prescriptions). We got jewelry.. real and costume stuff. We got handbags, shoes, clothing, books, electronics equipment, videos, DVD's, toys, cat food for my katie and food galore for our tummies. The food was adequate. They don't stock a lot of stuff, but even their store brand is adequate enough. Their bakery is wonderful. On more than one occasion, I've delved into their donut section and brought home very delicious, very fresh donuts. Their bagels are also a favorite of mine. The produce is a little high for me, but the choice is always fresh and good. The Radio Cafe in the corner of the store is a nice little stop along the way, when you tire of shopping. Oh, and I love their deli! Fresh cold cuts and cheeses are available. Also, they have freshly cooked chickens and strips. more
