First Wal-Mart in Michigan 8/16/2006

This is the very first Wal-Mart to open in Michigan, and it's starting to show. They done some things to renew the image, but it's so crowded. Prices aren't the best I've seen, and not worth the drive all the way to the other side of town. They are opening a super center soon, so I'm sure it'll be shut down before too long. more

Just an OK experience 4/5/2006

I am not a fan of Walmart. While they do have some low prices on items, the store is always a mess. It seems like they need to hire people to clean up after those that work there. The lines are also a problem. I think they need more checkouts. The parking lot is big but is shared with other stores in the strip mall. Some of the clerks are nice but most seem to have an attitude. They seem like they just don't want to be there. I am happy with the selection of clothing items for kids, as well as bedding and bath items; toys seem to be lacking, though. They have a big selection but it is a large selection of a small selection of a bunch of different items. more
