I've been twice now. Both times were so so. I'm not very picky, but the food so far has been consistantly bland. My chicken was bland and it was a dish I cook much better at ho...

I love this little spot... 10/24/2005

I've been to Wahoo twice and both times I had a good experience. The wait staff is very friendly and the food is great. The mussels are so good!! Pros: romantic, inexpensive, outdoor eating Cons: can be crowded more

Great restaurant for families with children; the staff loves kids and there is a fenced in grassy area beside the patio tables for them to play in! Pros: Great, fresh food, Unbelievable value, gorgeous garden more

Nice New Place 8/28/2005

Our group enjoyed the entire experience at Wahoo. The food was delicious and presented very well. It is a nice addition to Decatur. more

Everything you could ask for....except good food! 7/31/2005

Funny, attractive space, excellent, friendly service, and bland, unexciting food. I was so disappointed after finding a new restaurant in the Oakhurst area of Decatur. Everything was perfect until the food arrived. From the salad to the desert, the bland mediocrity of the cuisine was enough to tell me that the kitchen is the only problem with the formula here. My salad was like it came from a bag. The chicken was almost as bland and dry as the mashed potatoes it rested on. The desert (blackberry cobbler) was OK but no better than that from the grocery store frozen section. I wanted so badly to like this place, but it wasn't even a close call. My only hope is that they keep the menu and fire the chef. Pros: Service, atmosphere, menu Cons: Food more

Its really a shame 7/27/2005

We made reservations for group of 6 and a baby for a Tues evening. They placed us outside stating that they place big parties outside. Unbelievably hot. Requested inside. Told would be 30-45 min. An hour and half later we are still waiting. Waitress comes up and ask if we would like bread. I told her we really would like a table. She tells me to take a chill pill and then states she has Xanax in her pocket if I want one. I have a great sense of humor but this is not something you tell someone who has been waiting for a table for 1 hour and a half. This is really a shame because could be a nice place. Would not recommend it at all. Too many other nice places to dine in Atlanta. more

Wonderful Find 7/16/2005

Eating outside on the back patio was wonderful. The lighting was so pretty and the landscaping was perfect. All of the food was delicious and such a great value. Try the steak salad-- so much steak flavored with delicious seasoning for only $10!! We had a table of 4 and all of us cannot wait to go back and have recommended to all of our friends. The service was great, too. more

Mediocrity Abounds 7/10/2005

I looked forward to checking out this new local spot, but was very disappointed. The tomato salsa was nearly inedible, the chips were plain icky, my pasta dinner was bland, our server had little menu knowledge and, I assume, litte table experience. Dessert was okay, but not great. For a $7 piece of cake I expected more. While the meal was not what I consider expensive, it was not worth the money in any regard. The back garden is pleasant, but Wahoo needs to concentrate on the food and service! more

Disapointed 6/9/2005

WOW!! After the great review Wahoo received in last month's Atlanta magazine, my girlfriend and I went on a Thursday night. Boy, were we disapointed. Our waiter was nice, but had no idea what he was doing. The house salad was the most bland I've ever tasted, and their signature dish, the Wahoo, was extremly dry and overcooked. One plus, the jazz band outside. Nice touch. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Service, Food, Parking more

Cool new spot definitely worth checking out 4/26/2005

My wife and I visited Wahoo last week, and it was mighty tasty. The inside seating area seemed to be quite limited, but we dinned on the refined back porch. It was spacious and VERY enjoyable back there. This time of year, outside dining was awesome! We started off with the tuna tartar appetizer, which was very good. My wife had the duck breast and I had the Wahoo. Both entrees were delicious. I'd never had Wahoo before, but it was a nice selection. We split the bread pudding for dessert. It was delicious, and I think it was enough for 3 to 4 folks. Overall, I liked Wahoo a lot, and would recommend it to anyone. Another staple in Decatur cuisine! Pros: Tasty food, Back porch, Good service Cons: Parking in a dirt lot, Limited inside seats more

Great new spot!! 12/26/2004

Wahoo is a great new spot in Decatur, which always needs a good new restaurant addition. Decor, atmosphere, food choices, price and service are all very, very well done. Staff attitude is fantastic. It feels like going to a really good friend's place, one who cooks wonderful, fresh food with great flavor combinations. That patio if fabulous and beautiful. Wahoo exudes warmth! Pros: atmosphere, food combinations, freshness more
