Don't buy the purses there ! 8/9/2009

I bought a purse from the vendor at the first entrance B-C and the first day I used it, the handle broke and the inside change pocket tore. When I tried to exchange it - they said that I didn't buy it from them...I pointed out the exact same purse hanging from their hook, then they accused me of tearing it on purpose and trying to scam them...outrageous!!! more

Huge Flea Market 7/10/2009

There are way too many smokers, P-U! \r The place stinks so bad of cigarettes, they allow smoking ""inside"" where the vendors are. Don't go if you have a sensitivity to smoke and/or do not want your children, clothing, hair, etc. to stink of smoke. With that said... Get out your most comfortable walking shoes, your going to need them. This is a huge flea market, you'll never make it through in one day! Believe me, I've tried it! I spent about 8 hours trying, on a motorized scooter and still didn't get to see everything. You can find good and bad deals, old and new items as well as courteous and rude people. It is always buyer beware at these types of places. I would suggest bring batteries etc. to try before you buy. You do have to pay for parking, but they give you a voucher for a free hot dog and drink. I like the lady that paints the custom plaques, she does beautiful work. I also like the lady with the summer dresses, she always has good deals and you can get small to EX Large. I'm not so sure about the perfume dealers with their watered down version of designer perfumes/colognes and the Italian clothing guy inside with the inflated prices does not like to negotiate and he doesn't offer a good variety of sizes. And buyer beware about the T-shirt guy... he puts birds and other items on the T-shirts to hide imperfections, such as holes, stains, bad stiching, etc. You know what opinions are like, everyone has their own... you should try it for yourself. Pros: Good deals Cons: Too Many Cancer Clouds, Crowded, more

Best Flea market in the state 7/3/2009

Great place to visit. Found almost everything we go there looking for. We go about 3-4 times a year. One thing is you do have to remember it's a flea market not a mall. If you look at most of the reveiws you will see most people are very happy and know what a true Flea market is. the ones that aren't happy if you read their reveiw you will see cause they didn't really check things out and make sure things work or are in good shape it is no ones fault but theirs. You have to take responsibility for what your doing and buying. Yes there are people who will take advantage of you but only cause you LET them. Been to almost every Flea market in the state and this one by far is the BEST Pros: Vendors will always deal with you Cons: can only be cons if you let there be. more

Wagon Wheel - Best Flea Market In Town! 5/4/2009

Sounds like you should spend your time at the malls. A flea market (note the name -flea market- not Mall) is a place where you would go to find some wonderful used items and some really good new ones. I have met both friendly people and not so friendly people while shopping there. But again....it is a flea market. You are not shopping at an upscale mall. This is a wonderful place to go. Most of the vendors will bargin with you, which is half the fun. The Wagon Wheel gets 5+ stars from me and its the first place we head to when we arrive from out of state. We have been coming to the Wagon Wheel for around 30 years. Keep up the good work WW & vendors. See ya in June when we come down on vacation!!!! Pros: Best Deals in town! Cons: Just hot! more

Vendor not Honest 4/26/2009

I have visited the Wagon Wheel many times since 1975 and am unhappy to say I ran into a dishonest Vendor. My sister and I went to The Wagon Wheel Flea Market yesterday 4/25/09 and saw a man selling headsets you can wear to control the volume on your electronics without bothering others. I asked How much- He said $40. I bought the headset with a Credit Card. I brought the set home and it did not work. My husband went back today 4/26/09. My husband said- I thought you said it was $40. I said it was. He said -Well the slip says $52. I called my Sister. I asked- How much did the man say the headset was? She said- It was $40. When my husband handed the man the phone- He said I misunderstood him. I said Oh My sister misunderstood you too??? He tried to change the subject. I will dispute this with my Credit Card Company- So Buyer Beware Pros: Bargains Cons: Vendors should have to display prices more

Great Palce for Bargains!! 4/25/2009

People who claim this is a filthy place must live in a bubble. It's a FLEA MARKET! GO ELSEWHERE!\r Flea markets, to me anway, should have that ""frumpy"" look. Any of those ""clean looking"" flea markets sell\r mostly new stuff from third world countries. Give me the good old fashioned dirt floor markets anyday! You'll find\r great buys here every week. I know this as fact, I do every week! Pros: Just about anything your looking for here! Cons: Noe, if you realize it's a flea market, not an uppity mall! more

Gross! 4/15/2009

This place is essentially a garbage dump. Flies buzzing all around the fruit and vegetable stands, old junk that should either be thrown away or sold for 99 cents! Filthy people, filthy place. A total eyesore on Park Blvd that is a white trash magnet! Yuck! I can't believe anyone actually patronizes this worthless place. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

WASTE OF TIME 2/15/2009

Well we drove out from Ruskin to Pinellas Park and found this to be a waste of time and a poor sightseeing experiece.\r Pinellas Park is kind of gross....Filled with strip bars, pawn shops, and fast food. It is NOT a beautiful place!!!! The Flea market lived up to this.....The garage sale section was filled with items that would have been better off to have found thier way to the city dump.\r The rest of the flea market is too big and spread out and filled with the same old same old of designer brand knock offs and chinese import junk. MOST of The vendors are desperate and nasty. \r They charge for parking in a rut filled dusty parking lot. \r If you like rude white trash customers and dirty deperate vendors then this is the place for you! I would not go again. I have found the Red Barn in Bradenton to be a much nicer experience.\r After seeing the ads on TV I was excited to go and then was VERY Dissapointed on arrival. YUCK!!! Cons: dirty, poor parking you have to pay for, junk for sale more

Must Shop place for people with a clue 2/14/2009

Many vendors as far as the eye can see, all sorts of colours and items and many AMAZING prices (think $20 or $30 luggage that would be $60 in a retail store) My best tip to people going for the first time. Unless the item is TRUELY unique do not buy right away, make your way around the market then if it is the lowest price, jump on it (i.e. watches, t-shirts, souvieners). \r \r Sometimes what seems resonalble will be insanely cheap in the next section. Impossible to see it all in one weekend. 2 is best, there is a mix of used stuff near the begining, but once you get inside its pretty airy and vintage. The other dude may like sterile malls, but that place has a LOT of character and lower prices then you are probably used to seeing. No matter the time of year, great time to think of Christmas gifts, something for everyone. \r \r As for the guy complaining about the bathrooms. There are people who clean the bathroom for tips alone. I have always found them, although not glamours, clean and well stocked, which is all I need in a bathroom. Make sure to leave a tip on your way out. \r \r Make sure you go EARLY if you don't want to be walking half a mile to just get to the entrence. I have to say, over the years that we go, I have always found myself buyign extra luggage, which is great, because if you get one of the roller styles it makes it so much easier to get all your new buys back to the car. Pros: Variety of shopping and good food Cons: bathrooms are few and far between more

Great place 11/14/2008

I found 2 unique pet carriers that meet airline requirements for 20.00 apiece. They are well constructed, lightweight and my cats like them better than the regular carriers.\r \r My aunt & I as well as my husband can always find something we like when we go..from Bingo supplies to hot sauce to kitchen gadgets t0 musical instruments and luggage. \r \r The food is good and reasonably well priced.\r \r Pros: Wide variety of items at decent prices\r Cons: Weekends only. Only 1 ATM on the premises...usually at the far end of where you start. BUT..I can deal with it. I need the exercise. more

I think you should spend your time at the overpriced malls. The wagon wheel is awsome the vendors will bargin, which is half the fun.A large selection of different food for every taste so I dont get bored with same old same old.And if the prices are too high you need some bargining classes,I go twice a month and am never dissapointed. And most regular vendors such as dvd, purfume, hats, shoes, ect, ect if they dont have what you are looking for they will find it and give you call which I never expected from a flea market. The wagon wheel gets 5 plus stars from me and its the first place my friends from out of state want to go apon arrival. keep up the good work wagon wheel and all the awsome vendors that make it happen.See ya Saturday morning I would like to see it open a tad earlier but that is about it love ya bunches.... Buddy Z Pros: plenty of parking and price of a dollar is offset with free drink, ect Cons: would be nice to have golf cart with bed to deliver larger items to customers vehicals more

The Lowest Level --- Real Fleas 9/28/2008

This is a GIANT Disapointment .... dirty, dust pit ... Poverty stricken vendors., and high prices. Food is un-sanitary, and bathrooms N A S T Y !!!\r \r If this meets YOUR standards ... then HURRY ON DOWN !!\r \r If NOt ..... find another place to go. Pros: Non that come to mind Cons: Every THing more

My fav place under the sun 8/7/2008

I love going to Wagon Wheel. They have so many things there it's unreal. My favorite booth is the T-shirt one at D46-47. The prices are real low and there are a variety of sayings. It's a great place to find ""off the wall"" sayings too. My favorite shirt is ""Don't you wish your girlfriend was HOT like me"". Next time you're in the St. Pete area, you just have to visit Wagon Wheel, it's alot of fun too and you never know what you might find. Pros: Huge variety of things for sale, open year round, great value on items Cons: Only Saturdays and Sundays more

Love The Replica Handbags!! 5/21/2008

One of my favorite things to do in FLorida. I love the Wagon Wheel. My favorite thing to look at there is the replica purses. They by far have the best selection of handbags at a pretty decent price. I also love the $1 booths. You can find anything and everything at the W.W. Pros: It's grown a lot this past year and there is plenty of parking. Cons: Not a lot of air circulating through the buildings. Gets pretty hot in the summer. Only open on Saturdays and Sundays. more
