When hubby and I lived in Morristown. He sometimes would want breakfast and I would go over and get him an omelet. Half of the time they would not get the hash browns right. Nearly every time they would put onions in it. My husband hates onions and I would tell them no onions every time. I one time thought I would get a salad because how can you mess that up. Well the tomatoes were bad and some of the lettuce was tan color of going bad. I never would eat their food after that. Once we found out that Hill Billy cabin served good breakfast that is where we would go or I would bring it home for us. more

A favorite hang-out 4/6/2006

I'm sure this is probably like a thousand other Waffle Houses. It may not be that special, but I love it. Give me a BLT and hash browns scattered and smothered and I'm happy! I always run into people I know when I'm eating here, even if it's 2 a.m. (The place is open 24 hours a day.) The chili's good. If you're very health-conscious, you might want to pass this one by. I guess you could always get a salad, but it's not their speciality. You've got a full view of the grill, so you can see how much butter and oil is used. Watching is probably enough to clog up your arteries, but the food is so good! I stay away on Saturday and Sund mornings because it's too crowded. You have to wait for a table. more
