This place is great. Not only is it the freshest source for fruits and vegetables in town, but it's also the most affordable. Consistently I am surprised by how cheap all of the produce is. Everything's great, but this year I've been especially impressed by the strawberries and melons. Definitely look here first for your seasonal produce. more

The best! 8/19/2005

I just went to the state farmers market for the first time a couple weeks ago and was a tiny bit disappointed. It just wasn't as good as the farmers market in Asheville. This place is great! You could go and just waste time looking around - the produce, flowers, and plants are fun to just look at. The people watching is also lots of fun. My favorite thing to get there (other than huge bags of sweet corn) is sourdough bread at the ice cream shop. That is the best bread I have ever had in my whole life! more
