My husband and I had a negative experience with WM Movers and feel that other customers should just be advised as to what may happen if they hire this company.\r
- I called and scheduled a time for them to come to my apartment for an estimate. Their appointment time came and went. I received no call from them, so I reached out to them and was told that the owner was ""stuck in traffic"" and would be there 25 minutes later. When he finally arrived, the owner gave us a very good flat rate for moving, packing, tolls, gas, etc. \r
- We decided to go with the company and were told that they would drop boxes off and the insurance paperwork. I scheduled a time for this and again their appointment time came and went. I called and found out the truck broke down and they would be there in 30 minutes....they didn't arrive for five hours, and didn't bring the paperwork nor the wardrobe boxes they offered. \r
-The day of the move came and their movers (three men) were on time, extremely nice, and wouldn't even stop for lunch (I asked them to take a break three times and offered to buy them food each time). Once they had loaded everything out the main guy called his boss who wanted to talk to my husband and me. He told us that the move was going to be more expensive because they were there longer than expected, had to pack more than they thought (we had done most of the packing before the move day even though our quote included full packing) and that there were more things in the apartment than when they had come for the estimate the week earlier (we didn't bring anything additional in, in fact we moved a lot out to storage). We argued this and said we wanted to speak with the owner who came for the estimate. Now they were holding our items captive. We got a call from the owner the next day who we had the same argument with, and finally agreed that we wouldn't pay anything additional. \r
-The move in date was set for five days later...30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time we got a call saying their truck broke down four hours away from our new home and they weren't going to be able to get it fixed until the next day.....maybe they should have called us four hours earlier?? \r
-When they finally arrived and unloaded the items we found that our bookshelves and a lamp was broken, and the one box that said fragile which contained glass and wedding photo prints was crushed in and totally wet. \r
-Overall there were too many problems, and just bad business taking place. This company is not worth the trouble!
