I wish I could put enough power in the words ""Thank You,"" to Dr V., his staff and the staff at Western Wake in Cary.\r I am a 36 year female who just underwent a surgery for the first time to have a grapefruit size fibroid removed through a myomectomy (less then three inch incision) A courageous procedure made by Dr.V.. I am more scared then a cat when it comes to Doctors, I don't even like to have my blood drawn. I have never felt so relaxed and honered by the treatment that I recieved before and after the surgery. I wish I could recognize all the doctors and nurses and everyone who assisted me. I will never forget them as long as I live. My life was in their hands, I had the best experience. We went to a few different offices to find the right fit for our first pregnancy and initially liked this office. The nursing staff was great and we felt comfortable with the experience they described and looked forward to meeting the differerent Mid-wives. Unfortunately we felt discouraged when we consistently arrived early for our appointments we would wait nearly an hour and WELL past our appointment times. This occurred even for the first appointments after lunch, and it's frustrating to see four or five other patients go in before you.\r \r When changing doctors from this office we requested medical records to be released including the HIPPA forms and it currently has been 4 phone calls and 8 WEEKS! We did get a bill for the records of $21 which we must pay first, then they'll sent the records even though we talked with their department two weeks ago they promised to send them out in time for our next appt at our new doctors office....well we're still waiting.\r \r If you like a large practice where you'll see diferent doctors, midwives (as they tell you - even though we met none in out 3-4 appts there), and feel like as long as you pay via medicaid, you'll fit right in. Maybe they focus on their fertility side and less on the OBGYN side of things. We found a smaller office that takes more time, and follow through on their promises. The service and un-professionalism of Triangle is disgraceful when you're going through an experience that's supposed to be exciting!\r \r They are too many good offices in town, we recommend you look elsewhere. Dr V was a God send for me. Over the course of 4 years, he saw me through 5 unexplained miscarriages, 3 D&Es, a myomectomy, a hysteroscopy and last but definitely not least, a healthy son!!! He isn't flowery, which isn't what I wanted from him, but he was thorough, informative and caring. Unfortunately, I've left NC but if I were still there, he would still be my OB/GYN!!! I love his staff and contact them from time to time!!! All of the personnel there were gems to me. All the other doctors and midwives were very professional. Pros: Nice staff, I have no complaints. Dr. V saw me through a high risk pregnancy and infertility treatments over the course of 2 years. He has a calming bedside manner that has comforted me through an emergency C-Section and long infertility issues. He has ALWAYS seen me on short notice emergency or not. His staff is friendly and accommodating in both the gyno and Obstr. offices. \r Yes I have had to wait for appointments sometimes, but he is a surgeon. A baby or mom in distress is the priority. When I was in a labor crisis, he showed up at the hospital 10 minutes after he was called. For that reason, I never mind waiting. Absolutely NO bedside manner. He doesn?t care about his patients at all! I called a couple of months back for a problem and he wouldn?t see me but sent me to a midwife who misdiagnosed me. When I told the nurse I need to find a doctor who cares she even responded, ?That?s an option.? Pros: There are none! Cons: To long to list! more

I cannot comment directly on Dr V. but I can without doubt state that the office staff is completely lacking in professionalism. I had to wait over an hour to be seen (after arriving 15 minutes early for my appointment). The last 30 minutes was under the drape. Apparently whoever made my appointment (3 weeks in advance) did not put it on the Dr's schedule so he didn't even know I was there. This might have been an excusable mistake, but I was absolutely horrified to get a form letter, 3 months after a colposcopy stating that my (pap) results were abnormal, they had tried to contact me by phone several times, and to call them as soon as possible to discuss the results. Apparently they don't have a form letter for abnormal biopsy results and it takes 3 months for them to get back to me about it. My cell phone never received a call from them. I know they had my correct phone number because i did receive a call reminding my of my initial appointment. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. I get more compassion from my dentist.
