The newly remodeled Vulcan is a great place to visit, especially at night. The view is amazing, and it is a great place to take visitors to B'ham. The museum gives a nice overview of Birmingham's history in the steal industry. Would be a great place to have a special party or reception. more

A day with family 9/19/2005

Vulcan Park is a nice place to go, just for a day out with the family. It is also a great "date night" place. It has been remodeled recently, and is now very appealing upon arrival. Rick & Bubba have made the Vulcan famous to their listeners by having several events there, including the famous Biscuit Toss!! It's a great way to learn just a bit about Birmingham's history. more

Vulcan Park 8/20/2005

Vulcan Park is a nice place to visit with the family. They have recently remodeled Vulcan and he's looking good as new. Vulcan can be seen from mostly any where in Birmingham. Every one should see the park at least once in their life. They have picnic areas for families and schools to have lunch and also a nice gift shop. more

Great to have Birmingham's Landmark Back 8/14/2005

I never realized how much Vulcan meant to the city of Birmingham until it was closed and taken down for renovation a few years ago. Vulcan park is now a very nice place for people to visit during the day and at night. The views from atop Vulcan at night give a wonderful view of Birmingham. The museum is also pretty nice with the most exciting part being the part where you can light the torch that used to be a part of the statue. They've also recently added WiFi to the park allowing internet access to people enjoying the park. more
