Great Red Beans and Rice ~ Fun Atmosphere 6/30/2008

We drive from Pinal County to Voodoo Daddy's. We've frequented their place for over 5 years and still love to visit! My husband has a big appetite and he always walks away happy!! Personally my fave are the crabcakes! Also the environment is great for crowds (and kids), since it's not an uptight atmosphere, you're bound to have fun!! Pros: Great food and atmosphere! Cons: I've never seen the psychic :( more

Slow service, Bad food 1/27/2008

Cajun food. I came in and waited 25 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone, finally sat down. Ordered, waited an hour for food. No drink refills while waiting, server was irritable and rude. Finally got food, small gumbo, which had huge chunks of vegetables and not much else, was horrible. Fish tacos I got were soggy and messy. Overall I had a terrible experience, talked to the owner who was there, and did not receive any compensation or apology. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE, in fact, don't eat here. You will be sorely disappointed. Pros: good if you have a lot of time to waste waiting. Cons: everything else more

Fun place 2/20/2007

We went for Fat Tuesday and they had a small menu. I had the fried oysters and they were good for being this far inland! My friend commented that the red beans and rice were spicier than he expected. Had a great time, we recommend the Cat V Hurricane! Pros: Great atmospher Cons: A little pricy more

Average cajun, good but not ragin. 12/17/2006

Agree wit hthe tuna fish dude. Spotty service and h*t or miss kitchen - how can 2 things be excellent, and two be average? Anyways - my jambalaya was good, my companions catfish - not so much. Interesting decor, close if you live near to tempe or ahwatukee. more

The corn veggie side leaks all over fried catfish and makes it soggy and disgusting so if you order that ask for the veggies on the side. The place was also not very crowded and yet it took just about forever for the food to be served. Pros: Fish tacos, ambiance Cons: Takes forever to get food, soggy fried fish more
