Our family is going on our 3rd year of visiting Vollmer Farms. We have a blast everytime. Jumping on the Great Pumpkin Jump is so fun for both kids and adults. Also the underground slide is a blast as well! Our new family tradition is to go there every fall :) Pros: many fun fall things to do! Cons: a little pricey more

Its my understanding that the NC Dept of Labor shut some of the amusements for a while this summer. Something about they didn't bother getting a couple of them inspected. They had to make changes to meet regulations before DoL would let them operate them again. Now if they're so family oriented wouldn't you think they'd be all about safety? Just the kind of place you want to take your kids hey? more

If you are looking for fun and adventure in a family day trip this is the place to be. I have been to Vollmar farms four times now and my family and students have had a blast. We learned how to make butter, we went on a hayride tour and we enjoyed the huge playgrounds. The best attractions would be the 40ft slide, the big jumping pillow and the tractor pulled ride. My children enjoyed the corn crib, the tennis ball shot put and the yummy kettle popcorn treat. We bought the pies and they are so good as an after dinner dessert. The staff is friendly, the bathrooms are clean and they even have running water and soap to wash up! I was so pleased with the produce that they are growing and how organic is apart of the how they grow everything. The farm is a family place with generations of the Volmar's standing behind the pride of the community in the work they do. The farm is located in the heart of Bunn, a beautiful place to spend your day. This is a peaceful place to share a lunch and meet other families in a wonderful setting. Happy Fall to Everyone. I've been there a few times now as a chaperone and it's ok...nothing great. This weekend my daughter wanted to go and they charged $15.00 a person. That is nothing more than price gouging! It's no where worth that amount of money ..just to walk a piece of farmland. As for field trips each student had to pay $11 each...again out of line. Mrs. Vollmer is also on the school board and feel that this is a conflict of interest to making money off the students. If I were you..I'd find another place to go!. Pros: would be a great family family place if the price was better Cons: not worth the price more
