Hair with Flair 2/14/2009

Us Brits are so picky when it comes to who styles our hair! I had searched high and low for a great stylist. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Tim Fisk at Vogue Salon. Also a fellow Brit, Tim does a brilliant job of both cutting and coloring! He's always consistently good! My sixteen year old son also loves the way Tim cuts his hair and keeps him looking well groomed! more

Perfection in your home town 2/13/2009

I use to drive to North Hollywood to get my hair colored (it was a half day ordeal) because I could never find anyone in the OC that used a high-quality product that made your hair look and feel natural. Now I have LIZ, she's my ace in the hole. I'm continously being complimented on the look and color of my hair. Liz accomodates my busy schedule and gets me in and out quickly. No more half day ordeals to have hair that looks and feels beautiful. \r \r LIZ YOU ARE AWESOME !!!! more

Professional Excellence, a caring and knowledgeable staff, and a salon that cares about its clients. 2/12/2009

In 1991, when I moved my law practice to Newport Beach, I became acquainted with Rina at Vogue Salon. At that time I had very light blond hair which required a double process of bleach and toner. I had tried several other beauty salons, but until I met Rina no one could put on a bleach without overlapping and causing breakage. Rina's talents are not limited to being a colorist. She knows how to cut and style hair to make a woman look glamorous and appealing without compromising class and sophistication. After eighteen years, I still rely on Rina to tell me what looks good on me which, as of late, includes shoulder length hair that is light brown at the roots with heavy blond weaves. Rina has taught me the best products for my hair and is always available to discuss various options for change. Rina deserves a five star rating all by herself. If you want to experience the BEST hair cut, style, color, of your life...then I have two words for you: LIZ WARD! How do I know you might ask? Well, I have been a client of Liz's for over 25 years. In fact, when I used to live in Palm Springs, I made the drive to see Liz every 4 weeks - yes, she's that good! Seriously, Liz is the consummate professional, with a true gift from Heaven above. I would starve before I would miss my appointment with Liz! Make an appointment for yourself and see what I mean, you won't regret it! Great cuts and color 2/6/2009

Greg Crose is an exceptional stylist. He has been working with my difficult hair for over 10 years. From short, blunt bobs, to long layers, he has always made my hair look its best. He is an expert colorist and keeps current on the new trends in cutting and hair treatments. The stylists at Vogue Salon use and will recommend great products for all hair types. Want a great hair experience? 2/4/2009

If you want to have your hair done by a real professional who really enjoys what she does and is on the cutting edge, go see Liz Ward. You will not regret it. I have been going to Liz for many years and have never had a bad experience. I trust her 110% and if she wants to try something new; I let her go for it. She reads her clients very well and more importantly listens to what they have to say. Liz's specialty is coloring; I've seen her work some real miracles with people who have abused their hair with over coloring, bad products, etc. The salon is busy, but always treats all clients in the most professional manner. You will do yourself a favor by treating yourself to Liz. more

my first review on citysearch to say just how wonderful Liz is! 2/1/2009

I just moved to the area and I must have asked 25 people for hair colorist recommendations. Since everyone had different opinions (and the subsequent searches resulted in all sorts of reviews!) I decided to spend a week or so researching the top colorists in orange county. I finally (nervously) decided to go see Liz at Vogue Salon in Newport. I made an appt for the following Sat. I had only made an appointment for color, but I really wanted to squeeze in a trim and she was happy to make it happen. The care from EVERYONE was phenomenal but Liz really took her time and I left the salon with color I LOVE. My fiance told me that night at dinner that my hair had never looked better. I am so happy that I have found a salon I am happy with. In the past I have been difficult to please and Liz and her team did an excellent job! I cant wait to go back! more

I have been going to Vogue in Newport Beach for 8 years and Paul does the best job! I refer all my friends to Paul and they are just as happy as I am! Pros: Great staff, highly skilled stylist, great atmosphere Cons: The only con is that Paul is not available every morning to do my hair! more

Love My Hair! 11/11/2008

It's so satisfying finding a perfect match for life's necessities, like doctor, dentist, car repair, dry cleaners -- and not to be dismissed-- a GREAT hair salon. Vogue Salon is it! I've been seeing Donato for years and years, and I'm as pleased with him now, as ever. I love that he is totally ""available"" and open to collaboration on color and style. He can capture my rather inarticulate wishes and translate them into a style and color that is uniquely suited to me, my facial structure and the qualities or limitations of my hair. I like the products he uses and the importance he places on continual staff training. The positive reviews of Vogue Salon, by individuals and the press, are absolutely reliable. Go!\r Pros: ambiance, friendliness, products Cons: music could be more diverse -- like traditional jazz (the non-crazy stuff) (NOT smooth jazz = the WAVE!) more

Fabulous, fashionable, friendly salon 10/10/2008

This salon exceeds expectations. Donato is an artist whose medium is hair. He's a hair-styling genius who listens to what you want and creates a sensational hairstyle just for you. He also is a great teacher and will patiently explain exactly how to get the same result at home. \r \r Merrily knows haircolor like Tiger Woods knows golf. She's a real pro who customizes color and makes sure you know how to keep it up. I have red hair which is prone to fading. However,by using the salon products recommended by Donato and Merrily, my haircolor looks rich and radiant even weeks after coloring. \r \r The staff at Vogue is extremely professional and competent. The result is a consistently pleasant salon experience. Pros: Experienced, professional and friendly staff. Cons: Parking may be difficult at lunch time. more

Donato has operated an exceptional salon year after year at both the Newport Beach location and the St. Regis, Monarch Beach location. His staff is polite, professional, talented and attentive. I've been a client of Steve's for a few years now. His cuts and color keep getting better and better. I have naturally dark hair which is not easy to lighten. He works the color process beautifully. My last cut is one of the best ever. Steve never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Steve will always be my ""mane"" man! more

Excellent experience 8/2/2008

Liz came highly recommended by friends (whose hair always looked great btw). I have never been comfortable with stylists as I usually get talked into something I really did not want or understand how to care for. But Liz took the time to talk to me about my lifestyle, how much maintenance I was willing to put in on my hair, and the texture. She explained exactly what she was going to do before she did it (!) which was very refreshing. She also showed me how to care for it. All in all it was a wonderful experience, Liz was great, everyone at the salon was personable and friendly and I am definitely going back! I love my hair now. more

I have been going to Vogue for years and have always had great experiences there. Donato really listens to the kind of style I want and it always comes out fantastic. The staff is attentive. The salon offers a great selection of Kerastase and Bumble and Bumble products. The other Vogue location at the St. Regis in Dana point is also terrific. more

There are hairstylists and then there are artists. I believe that Liz is an artist with hair as her medium. When you first go in, she asks a ton of questions and then creates a hairstyle that works for you and fits with your lifestyle. And no matter how long you've been with her, she will approach your style with fresh eyes each time. Both Liz and Vogue Salon have a lot of great upbeat energy. more
