Had heard a lot about Vittorio de Roma through the grapevine after moving to the area. From outside you might not give Vittorio de Roma's a second glance, but in the inside it is quaint, friendly, and intimate with a very personal feel to it - similar to old friends or having become 'regulars.' The tables were at least 3/4 filled on a wednesday night. My boyfriend and I like to find new restaurants to frequent and 'go all out' when we go out to eat and the service and promptness was still top notch. We are also very into wines and the wine list for this place surprised me - Vittorio's is small and can be easily missed, but had a better wine selection than some more upscale restaurants I've been to downtown. The waiter also brought over some comlimentary drinks that they had been experimenting with - highlighting the 'personal' feel of this place. The calamari was like butter - some of the best I've ever had. My BF got a veal cutlet layered with procuitto and ate everything. The waiters, drinks, wine, aura, etc. is all very authentic italian, and this place has become a favorite for a nice yet cozy night out. We're going back tonight!
Pros: Authentic, not overpriced, great wine list, feel like an old friend
Cons: Unfortunately the outside doesn't do it justice - easily missed
