I am a self proclaimed neurotic dog owner and took my 5 year old dog to Dr Adams today. She was was kindest and most professional vet ever. Jason the office manager is amazing as well. I live in Manhattan, and travel all the way to LIC to see Dr Adams upon recommendation of a friend who lives out there. Not only are the prices not to shabby, but the staff is very helpful and polite. My dog even felt very comfortable, and she hates going to the vet! Pros: Best vet in NYC! more

I took my dog to the City Vet this Saturday for the first time; they did a fantastic job. MY dog looked great and the people at the City Vet were so nice! I will continue to take my dog to this vet and any future animals I may have. The prices are reasonable too; they advertise their grooming prices online and they stick to the prices when paying out also (I've taken my dog to several groomers around Astoria and they charge $25.00 MORE on average than their advertised prices online-that's called FALSE Advertising folks! The best part about City Vet is that they make you feel comfortable about leaving your pet there to be groomed, I don't feel that there's any cruelty happening there (I took my dog to another groomer in LIC and they dropped a dog off the grooming table and they were very rude and unclean. I highly recommend City Vet to LIC and surrounding Queens locals. Dr. Jules Adams is the kindest, sweetest, most generous vet I and my kitties ever had the pleasure to visit. She goes out of her way to do all she can for your pet, and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. Word out of the street is that City Vet is the best vet in town, trustworthy and reliable....you and your furry friends won't be disappointed. more

I'm so thankful that City Vet exists -- not only because it is extremely convenient to my home but also because the staff is wonderful and I know my cat is getting excellent care. I used to travel all the way to carroll gardens to see a vet with qualities of Dr. Adams at City Vet (friendly, knowledgeable, non judgemental, gentle and respectful towards animals and people). Now I just have to walk a few blocks. It's a clean, positive environment and everyone is friendly and professional. Dr. Adams is extremely respectful toward my 18 year old cat and has a special way of disarming her in order to administer care -- I don't know what it is exactly but the cat just lets her do stuff -- stuff that she would never let me do. I have met other people who have taken their pet(s) there and we all feel the same way. Do yourself a favor and take your pet to City Vet. Dr. Adams is a true animal lover and excellent doctor. I brought my cat Oliver here for a check up. He hates going to the vet and gets really difficult (scratching, biting, etc) The staff was great. Very patient and dealt with him really well. The vet took time to talk with me and answer all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed. The place is really clean and the decor is cute and old-timey. Not like a doctor's office at all. I recently moved to the area and shortly after adopted a kitten. I was buying cat litter at City Dog pet store and while there met Dr. Jules Adams who just opened a new Vet clinic further down on Vernon Blvd. She was really friendly... I had felt like I had known her forever. We got to talking about my kitten and she said I should stop by to have him checked out. \r The staff at City Vet is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! The office manager Jason is VERY nice (and not to mention very cute)...Dr Adams is a sweetheart and is GREAT with animals! They are awesome and I highly recommend them. If you have an animal - I say take them to City Vet! more
