My daughter has been getting her hair cut by Elena for some time and has always been pleased (and she's not easy to please!) The other day I went with her and watched -- Elena is amazing! After my daughter's cut she asked me if she could try something with my hair, because she noticed it was a little bulky in spots. I sat down and she, at no charge, snipped away explaining the particular technique she was using, and in just a few minutes she'd fixed the bulky spots and trimmed my bangs!\r \r When I was ready for a full cut, I booked with Elena and she was once again a true pro. Not only does she know what she's doing with scissors, but is a lovely person. How nice to sit down in a stylist's chair and know you're in good hands!\r \r Absolutely worth the drive to La Cantera -- thanks Elena! more

Amazing colorist 5/6/2011

Megan Nock, one of the chemists there was amazing. I have never colored my hair before and was a little nervous about doing so, however I was referred to Megan by a friend, and was very pleased with the outcome. \r She consulted with me about a good color for my skin tone and showed me some samples and photos, then she whipped up a color that everyone has complimented on. \r I went from brunette to a deep red and she made me very comfortable while doing so. She was very attentive and talkative, and also very confident about what she was doing. Also her knowledge of the products was really helpful.\r I will definitely be going back to her. more

Quality over speed 4/26/2011

Although Melissa has some pretty good reviews and she knows her color.. she needs to slow down! I recently got highlights and she does a good job on top but because she highlights the back and sides SO FAST she doesnt get the highlights right to the scalp and it looks horrible. I cant wear my hair up or back because of this. :( more

Everyone's Great 3/8/2011

I have gotten my haircut by a lot of different people at that location (Prissy, Nancy, Imke, Evelyn, Alex, etc.) and they have all done a great job. Melissa has done great at my color as well...she gets me in and out quick with awesome results! When I was in yesterday, my stylist told me about a bunch of spring break promotions they were having (I think she said 15% off chemical services and a free gift)...I've been wanting to send the wife and next week will be a perfect time. more

best cut ever 1/18/2011

Evelyn Romero is clearly a master designer (""style director"" in Visible Changes lingo). She has given me the best haircut I have ever had in terms of shape and in the way that it grew out. She is so good that I waited until I could return to SA to have her cut it again -- and I live in Seattle! Fortunately I have friends and family in SA, so I will have a good excuse to continue to wait for Evelyn to do my hair. Great razor cut for short hair!!! more

Elena is perfection! 1/3/2011

Elena has been styling my hair for the last 13 years. I first met her at the Visible Changes - North Star location, while visiting family in San Antonio. She began styling my two year old daughter's hair. She was extremely welcoming, taking her time, making my toddler feel like a little princess. Soon after, I also began to have my hair styled by Elena, making the one and one-half hour drive in from Corpus Christi. Three years later, our family moved back to San Antonio. \r \r Elena is the true measure of professionalism, she takes pride in her work, and is highly trained and skilled in all the latest hair trends and techniques. Her work station only holds a fraction of the many awards she has earned! I highly recommend Elena, I have never been disappointed! She is a sincere and caring individual. I trust Elena and value her opinion and would never switch to another stylist. She is a true asset to her organization! Elena is now at the Visible Changes - La Cantera Salon. more

Riley Duncan 1/2/2011

Riley has been coloring my hair since before she began working for Visible Changes. I followed her when she began her career there. She is extremely professional and I always value her recommendations. I have never been unhappy with my hair color and generally receive numerous compliments. Riley is a kind and caring individual and I feel as if I am being hosted, instead of paying for a service. My drive to have Riley color my hair is an hour and a half, but I would never consider going to anyone else. Riley is the best!! more

I have been to many other Salons and she is by far the best in service as well as knowing how to get the color I want! Horrible Customer Serivce 12/2/2010

I was just at the La Cantera Mall and thought I would get a haircut. Visible Changes was empty so I walked in. There were Three or four stylists standing near the cashier and I smiled at one of them and she looked away. I then asked the cashier(an African American lady) if they took Amex and she looked surprised and told me no. After thanking her, I heard she was making fun of me saying ""uh-huh no."" Like I couldn't afford that place. Horrible! Toni&Guy at the same mall got my business. I am more than happy that Visible Changes has turned me away FOREVER. more

Riley and Jennifer are GREAT! 11/16/2010

I have been going to Riley for color and Jennifer for cut for over 2 years. And I am always very pleased! They are both friendly and fun and have knowledge and confidence in what they do! I recommend them all of the time to friends and family! Some of my friends spend over $200 or $300 dollars on their hair every month and I get the same treatment for much, much less! Riley for Color and Jennifer for Cut 11/8/2010

I started going to Riley and Jennifer because several of my friends were going to them and they were very pleased. I have to say, so am I! Riley takes her time to understand what it is what you want and is always very pleasant and happy. Sometimes she does highlights and sometimes just straight color. Always happy with he outcome. I love Jennifer too, she gets right to the poing and is also very pleasant. They both have great customer service and always offer me bottled water, which I love. Thank you Riley and Jen! more

Alex has been cutting my hair for a year now. It took me two years of trying other stylists before I found him. I accosted a random woman in Dillards at La Cantera and demanded to know who gave her the amazing haircut. It was Alex. I started going to him and have not regretted it. I get a consistently good cut. more

Most Amazing Haircut 9/30/2010

I went to Visible Changes because my hair was ruined. I recently had a hairdresser chop my hair really bad and I was very upset. My sister in law told me about Prissy at Visible Changes at La Cantera. She did an amazing job at fixing the damage the other hairdresser had done. I was extremely happy with the face frame she gave me. It is the best haircut I have ever had. Not only is she a fantastic hairdresser but she has a great personality. She is very friendly and professional. Her priority is to make the client happy by giving them exactly what they are looking for in a haircut. I could see how concerned she was that I was satisfied and walked out of there a happy client. Well she succeeded and plan on making her my new hairdresser :) more

I had the most wonderful experience when I had my hair done with Elena at Visible Changes at La Cantera, besides of her great personality she really knows how to take care of your hair. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years. She is very nice and makes you feel very comfortable. She listens and makes sure she understands exactly what you want. I cannot stress that enough you will leave happy and w/ your hair cut the way you want it. She gives her professional opinion politely when asked. I recommend Jennifer to females and males because my brother recommended her to me and he is a very satisfied customer. She is very experienced so your hair is going to be in good hands. She gives good tips and top of all of that has the sweetest personality. I am actually getting my hair cut tomorrow so I am excited! Pros: Comfortable environment, very clean, and very polite. Definetely recommend Elena, she is by far the best hairstylest I've been to and trust me when I say this for I have seen many hairstylist throughout my life. I'm thrilled that I have found someone with her quality and professionalism. Try her and I can guarantee she will give you a cut that will leave you 110% satisfied.
