We paid $800 security deposit when we moved into 1514 W Calle Sur #B, 88240. Vision Realty had over 1 week to get the apartment ready for us. Mrs. Soki Murray is a very busy business woman though. She did not have the time to come for a walk through when we moved in, or when we moved out as a matter of fact. The apartment however was filthy. The walls had stains and spots in every single room, the carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in years; pet stains everywhere, it wasn't even vacuumed! There was water damage under the sink in the kitchen. The hole was so deep and moldy that I believe it was like that for years with no repair. The bathroom was moldy and the paint was coming off due to water damage. The toilet had permanent stains, and was broken where water would constantly run. The kitchen also featured broken drawers that were held up with tape and super glue. The outside storage shed had about a year supply of fire wood, which was home to a nest of scorpions and other vermin. My husband had to clean it out and was bitten by a brown recluse in the process. We accepted the place as was, as we had no other housing options at the time, and needed a place badly. We did however think that Vision Realty would have the place fixed, clean, and ready to go for us when we moved in, which makes us wonder how the former tenant's deposit was used to ""clean"" the place before our move-in. My husband and daughter developed respiratory problems while living there as well, that ceased once we moved out. After all of this, Mrs. Murray told us we will not receive much or any of the deposit, due to the place being damaged when we moved out. We actually cleaned it up BETTER than when we moved in!! When we confronted her, she threatened to call my husband's employer and tell them what a terrible person he is, and how he should not have his job! She is totally unprofessional and an extremely rude person. We were hung up on 5 times! No one should be treated this way, and I hope no one else ever has to.
