Family-centered fun and fitness! 2/24/2012

Five years ago, I started searching for a martial arts school for my sons. The highest priority was finding a way to build focus and self-confidence in one son who has Asperger's and ADHD. I was very impressed with VMAC - particularly the fact that the owner, Diane Reeve, is a 6th degree Black Belt woman with a Masters in Education and is a nurse. The chief instructor alongside Ms. Reeve is 8th Degree Black Belt and well known Tae Kwon Do figure Mr. Tim Kirby. All of the instructors are strong individuals who truly CARE about their students. \r \r The school is a good mix of male and female adult instructors, many of whom have been with Ms. Reeve in her school for over 15 years. They work hard on teaching children and adults of all ages to protect themselves, building confidence and make them better all around people. \r \r I loved the school enough that I started taking Tae Kwon Do with my kids and we are still going in this family activity 5 years later! more

The place to go 2/10/2010

Vision Martial Arts has done nothing less than instill great confidence and self-defense skills in our family. It has a great family atmosphere and the instructors know us because there is virtually no turnover of teachers. It was one of the few places that didn't require contracts and that was a great plus for us. We highly recommend Diane and her staff. more

interesting choice for a birthday party 12/14/2009

One of my son's friends had his 9th birthday party at the Vision Martial Arts Center, where they both regular lessons. It was one of the more creative birthday parties I'd ever seen. Now my son wants his party there. more

    martial arts school in Plano since 1995. What truly
    separates us from other schools is the depth of
    experience, integrity and passion of our instructors.
    Owner Diane Reeve holds black belts in 4 different
    martial arts systems, a 7th-degree Black Belt in
    Tae Kwon Do, a Masters Degree in Education and
    a nursing degree, which has established her as one
    of the foremost self-defense experts in our nation.
    She is, without question, the glue and the visionary
    that has created an unparalleled quantity and quality
    of Black Belts (150 and counting!), many of who
    have continued to train and teach with VMAC for 6,
    8, 10 and even 16+ years. Our classes for young
    and old alike develop family values while promoting
    character development. Building Positive Life Skills
    through Martial Arts is not only our mission, it is
    our mantra. Our school is a clean, professional state
    of the art training facility with the latest equipment
    and over 2,000 square feet of safety mat. We also
    have a beautiful family viewing area with an adjacent
    educational, toy-filled sibling play area.

    In addition to our core Tex Kwon Do, we offer
    training in weapons, Ed Parkers American Kenpo
    Karate and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Our group
    classes feature meticulous individual attention for
    each student, but we do offer private lessons as
