Hard to find movies - check here! 9/6/2005

Whenever I am in the mood to watch a foreign or indie film I come to Visart Video. This rental store carries a large selection of unknown films. The staff members are very knowledgeable and always have recommendations for me and my family. They also have a good children’s selection to pick from. more

VisArt for indie films 8/31/2005

When I'm in the mood for an indie or foreign film, I always check out VisArt before Blockbuster. They've got a great selection of indies, foreign, obscure movies, and also a good selection of children's movies. The staff is full of movie enthusiasts, so they've always got great recommendations. The only problem is that on the rare occasion I want to watch a popular new release, it may be out of stock at VisArt, which doesn't stock a thousand of each title like Blockbuster does. more

hooray for visart 8/23/2005

I say hooray for visart, at least one old school style movie rental place that didn't get totally eaten alive by the slavering blockbuster beast! They've got loads of VHS and plenty of DVDs, great prices, and late fees that are on par with their rental fees. Again, hooray for VisArt! more

Good small video store 7/31/2005

This is a great alternative to the large chain video stores. We usually rent from here about half of the time we rent a video. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking is adequate. They don't have tons of current releases but it usually isn't a problem to find something interesting to rent. They will carry more independent films than the larger chains. more

Alternative to Netflix 7/19/2005

VisArt has the best selection of movie rentals period. The only thing that comes close in comparison is Netflix. VisArt has all the newest releases as well as completely obscure movies. It is a great location to find the Independent films that are not carried in larger chains, to get a flick for the children or to check out films that the staff recommends. This is one place that needs to expand its locations so that we can have the benefit of a store in Raleigh. more
