I'm coming back to Niagara Falls, NY this summer for my High School Reunion. When I land in Buffalo and get my rent-a-car,I'm heading for Viola's. There is nothing to compare to their Steak & Cheese. I can't wait. more

I called to order a sub from the Linwood Ave store and was put on hold for seven minutes. Never took my order, nothing. So I got a Great sub at Submasters instead. more

I grew up in Niagara Falls and had my first taste as a very young boy. I haven't lived in the Falls for almost 30 years now, but every time I visit, Viola's is the first stop, even before getting to the relatives house. It is a combination of some of the best bread in the world (Niagara Falls has absolutely the best bread bakeries in the world - and I've been to nearly 30 countries and every state), fine sliced Delmonico steak, and white American cheese (many think it is provolone, but it is white American). The perfectly seasoned toppings and oil is what is not reproducible, no matter how hard I've tried! And is what makes this so much better then Philly steak & Cheese subs. Either venue is as good as the other, although many locals prefer the Elmwood ave location. Enjoy! more

There is a reason they call The Philly Cheese Steak the Philly Cheese Steak. It could NEVER be the Niagara Steak & Cheese of Viola's Submarine House. I mean not even in the same league. Genos'---eat your heart out! This is the real deal; real steak, real cheese. Order the double & when you leave, the oil will be running down your wrist, your elbows will slide on the table top, but your belly will be full, and you may be back later that day. I have lived in Florida for 27 years and when I go home to Niagara Falls, I have actually stopped there for a Double Steak & Cheese even before seeing my family. Still consistent after all these years! Been there at all hours of the night & day. Niagara Falls has gone through a lot in my 41 years but Viola's stands strong. Can't wait to take my wife there! more

40 years ago while stationed at Niagara Falls Air Force Base Viola's Subs was pure gold. You could make 50 new friends if you brought a Viola Sub back to the base. I still remember the taste to this day. Nothing has ever come close to the aroma and taste. Do yourself a treat and grab a dozen if you're in town. Trust me, you will be hooked for life. more

Quite possibly the best subs around are made here at Viola's Subs. They have 2 locations which is nice because if you're in Niagara Falls, one of them will be convenient for you. And honestly, it's worth it to drive an extra mile or two to enjoy a submarine from Viola's. My co-workers and I have ordered their steak and cheese subs a number of times and are always satisfied and happy!! They aren't HUGE like some sub places but they are surprisingly very filling!! more

The best subs in the world are made here. If you want to know what is popular just listen to what everyone in line orders. This place is all about the steak and cheese sub. This is a real sub, not some terrible thing from Philadelphia with processed cheese. The sub is loaded with fresh bread, tons of meat and cheese and fresh vegetables. more

This place makes the best steak and cheese sub I have ever tasted. This is not like the inferior Philly cheese steak, which is so overrated compared to this sub. This is a sub with a perfect blend of steak and other ingredients. I love this place. Get your steak and cheese sub with everything on it and you will be good to go. more

This is the original Viola’s subshop. There are two locations, this doesn’t get as busy as the 2ns store but they both make great subs. The steak and cheese sub is the best sub I’ve ever tasted. They have other options, which are all good, but I prefer the steak over anything else. more

This is the original Viola’s location. I don’t come here as often as the other Viola’s on Military Road. You can expect high quality subs at both places. If you have never been here get their steak and cheese sub. I like getting a double steak and double cheese sub. It comes loaded with very fresh toppings. more

This is the original of the two Viola’s sub locations. The food here is amazing. The only make subs but they are the best subs in the world. The steak and cheese sub is their specialty. It is a perfect blend of meat, cheese, a fresh sub roll and spices. They also have a great meatball sub too. more
