i would give them a negative rating if possible.
please, this is long but read it because it will be your life if you move in with vintage :)
I moved into 2011 Ousdahl, a house for lease by Vintage, in 2008--seriously the worst mistake of my life. First of all the mgmt will not have the place clean for you WHATSOEVER upon moving in and i would like to stress that they do N O T H I N G, not even something as simple as sweeping the floors. Our stove which was from the 80s was crusted with food and broken so we literally had to BUY A NEW ONE which they wanted to buy from us when we were moving out--oh but they wouldnt replace it for us when we moved in!, there was dog hair all over inside the fridge/freezer (which i don't even understand how that is possible?) the garage had all kinds of junk left over from previous tenants which we had to remove ourselves--as well as windows that were being stored there for the mgmt co. which took up much space and we were not allowed to remove them. basically this kept us from being able to park in the garage making it pointless to have.
In the largest bedroom of the house the carpet had to have been at least 20 years old and i could hear bugs crunching under it when i would walk on it! i assume it was thousands of rolly-pollies because they were everywhere! they co would not replace the carpet that was ripped at the doorway exposing the sharp things on the floor that are meant to hold it in place! i would have to be very careful not to step on it each time i walked into my room!
the bathroom smells horribly of mold.
we were given WRITTEN permission to paint the walls, the manager wrote it on our walk through inspection that we were allowed to paint--this was the wife of the owner i was told--she was fired! before we moved out and somehow i guess that voided her written permission and we were forced to paint it back, it also didn't seem to matter that the next tenants wanted us to leave the colors...
WE LITERALLY CLEANED EVERYTHING OR REPLACED IT UPON MOVING IN. i and my roommates were only 18 and completely unaware of all the violations the mgmt was making. i agree with the review below in saying that you NEED, it is an absolute NECESSITY, to know your rights and stand up for yourself against this co. because they WANT to F you over for everything and anything they can. The mgmt is very unprofessional and unkind not to mention absolutely unwilling to help you no matter how polite you address the problems with their service. however, the maintenance were wonderful and seemed to feel bad that they couldnt do more to fix our place for us. during the winter our heater broke and the guy brought us a space heater and left it for as long as we needed it--even after our heater was fixed! what a gentleman i wish i knew his name because he should work for a better mgmt co. and i wish i could tell him that!
PLEASE save yourself and choose another mgmt group! they are also called vintage-greenmark these days.. beware!!!
oh might i add, after leaving the place immaculately clean and repainting all but two of the rooms back to white, the two we left were a neutral tan even, we only got back 290 bucks of our nearly 900 deposit. 300 was charged to paint the two smaller bedrooms which were tan, might i add we repainted the two bathrooms..one with a 14ft ceiling that we had painted all the way up to, the master bedroom, kitchen living room and hallways it only cost us 100 bucks for paint and supplies.. give me a freaking break vintage and stop ripping off your good tenants. i really wish i would have had the money to sue them because i was absolutely depressed living there every day. i had two roommates and after 2 months one moved out because he couldnt handle it anymore, a guy! couldnt handle it. i am a super neat freak 20yr old girl...
