Best food a must try 8/28/2008

Best food on Shelter Island. A must try. Everything is delicious. The desserts are a must as well. Enjoy the \r ambiance inside and out. Reservations are required so make them fast.\r \r more

Excellent food and service with an extensive wine list. The beet salad and steak frites are my favorite. 7/10/2008

Local favorite 12/20/2006

Fresh, delicious, Vine Street Cafe's cuisine is deserved of a devoted following. And it has. They serve local seafood always prepared perfectly as well as all organic meats and local vegetables. There are different specials every night as well. (Try Mondays: the Bouillabaisse is to die for...!) The decor is simple: this is not pretending to be an upscale French restaurant. It's the place you go to get away from the pretense, the place where you can kick off your shoes, don your flipflops and have a FANTASTIC meal. The staff is always attentive and friendly.
