When you go into Vincenzan early in the day, you are immediately greeted with the wonderful aroma of fresh marzipan cookies. There are also fresh cookies with raspberry, blueberry or apricot filling, fresh breads and many more. Marzipan's my fav!
Last night, we were there to celebrate our aunt's birthday and I ordered the house specialty - MARE MUNDI, yummmmm! It had veal, lobster, shrimp, mussels and calamari in a spicy marinara sauce over linguine. OOoooo.. I can't believe I ate it all! And many pieces of their awesome fresh baked bread too! To top it off, they baked the birthday cake - it was chocolate with raspberry filling and the cream colored icing was also raspberry flavored; it was like eating a piece of ""heaven"" - light, fluffy, creamy, rich in flavor. Vincenzan is always a stop for us during our yearly Denver ""pilgrimage"" from Gulf Shores, AL.
