DO NOT LIVE HERE. I cannot express this enough. If you want to be charged damages that weren't caused by you, but were caused by their old, decrepit apartments falling apart then after you move out you do not hear about these damages until you're getting called by a collecting agency 2 weeks later (which they are supposed to attempt to send you the charges with a breakdown of the damages- The Villas did not do this) They also have to give you 30 days to respond, yet I was talking to a collection agency not even 14 days after I left, therefore they didn't even try to get ahold of me (probably because they knew the damages were something they should have been paying for). I paid this right away of course as to keep it from hurting my credit. I thought it was done and taken care of. A year and a half later, I am trying to apply for an apartment and get a call from the leasing agent processing our application only to find out The Villas did NOT record my check, yet it was processed and the money was taken out, so they had NO account of me paying the ridiculous fee. They have a continuous cycle of management because it is such an awful property & with their company based in CA, it seems like they can't make wise employee decisions nor do they care to hire quality property managers. The property manager as of 12/19/2014 is rude, unapologetic, stuck up and treated me like I was in the wrong and was annoying her or taking up her precious valuable time that she could be spending sitting and getting on Facebook in her office. She didn't introduce herself, yet I did, as I was trying to be nice about the situation which I shouldn't have even wasted MY time doing because this situation surely didn't call for any niceties. She couldn't find records or access the transactions, which for auditing purposes is ILLEGAL. All she could say as a reply to me was "I'm waiting for a call from my area manager" which was her excuse all day long, so apparently it was not enough of a legal matter to take care of before the end of the day.
