Ahh, The Village Inn. Nary a week passes that I am not a sojourner to this pinnacle of epicurean perfection. The variety and quality of food is beyond comprehension--The salads are crisp, the seafood: succulent, and the desserts: divine. It was just the other day that I made my last trip, where I was greeted by a lovely young lady who was a puzzling contradiction of cool disdain and warm, southern hospitality. She served me Veal Parmigiana with a dense, flavorful cut of baby veal drizzled with a mouthwatering tomato sauce whose creole spices made my tongue dance and twirl like a wind-up ballerina. I recommend the veal, it's the best in the city.
