This is by far my favorite pizza place in the city of SLO. I don't usually dine in, but pick up my pizza because it's so close. They are always good. more

We used to go all of the time...at least monthly. But we got tired of all of the sports kiddie groups. Too many kids running around loudly inside the place. You can see them running around outside tearing up the landscape & jumping over the walls around the seating area. Great if you're having one too many beers! We loved the garlic chicken pizza and the pastrami sandwiches. New year's day a few years ago, I had salad and became very sick that night (no one else in our group had salad). It took 8 months before I would go back and it was our last visit ever as my husband then became very sick after his meal. We did call health dept. They said 3+ people had to call in for it to be investigated. This was a first for us and we've eaten out a lot for over 30 years all over the country. Go figure. more

Village Host is my favorite pizza place in San Luis Obispo. The pizza tastes great and the employees are always incredibly nice. Recently it has gotten more popular so it does get crowded, but it definitely beats Woodstocks. Oh, and if you aren't in the mood for pizza, but your family is, they have alternatives for you (sandwiches, fries, etc.)\r \r (Ps, that "older gentlleman" is probably named Tony ;) ) more

I took my daughters to Village Host for a slice one afternoon, and an older gentleman who worked there came out, asked us how our pizza was, and even gave them a little toy! \r \r I told him I was a student, and he said that if I needed to get some studying done I could bring my daughters back and he would change one of the TVs from sports to cartoons for them. I haven't taken him up on it, but I've been back to Village Host a number of times...other employees have let me use coupons I forgot at home, given us extra stuff when my kids dropped things on the ground, and have been just generally nice people. more

its great pizza except one time i left my sunglasses there and an employee took them and didnt turn them into lost and found. but thats just the kind of workers they have. more

The pizzas I have had from Village Host have been very tasty. I enjoyed the fresh ingredients. I ate at the restaurant once and enjoyed the atmosphere and my beer! :) more

This place rocks. Excellent tasting pizza, but on the expensive side because of its high quality and great atmosphere inside. Definitely recommend this place if you want some of the best tasting pizza. more
