Village Host Pizza & Grill

Great place to come with lots of kids and families after the game. Pizza is not the best but atmosphere is wonderful. Whether a baseball end of year party or just pizza with your friends you can't go wrong. more

On the whole the Village Host is pretty good, especially if you have kids. Sure it isn't all sparkling clean with white tablecloths and it can get a little chaotic at times, but when you just got back from the beach with a mob of sandy kids and just don't feel like cooking....... wonderful! It has a casual atmosphere with lots of families and kids and noise and fun. Besides, if you don't want to wait too long you can order by phone ahead of time (and at 7.45 on a Friday or Saturday you will wait). I am usually happy to sit and drink a beer or two, chat with friends and let the kids entertain themselves, the salad bar is instant so I don't have to starve. When it comes the pizza, yes it's good, not a gourmet pizza but pretty much what I would expect from any pizza joint. more

I went there a few weekends ago with my family on a Friday eve7/24/09. When we arrived we found yes it was busy ofcorse on a Friday night as any place would be. We ordered one pizza, salads and drinks. The young man behind behind the counter told us that the pizza was going to take 30 min and asked if this would be ok. We said ok. It"s friday night and we knew anywhere we went wound be about that long. The place is not that big and 30 min seemed reasonable. We ate our salad and entertained our 2 year old as best we could. 30 mins passed by, I checked the time on the receipt to make sure and we thought ok maybe a little longer. 1 hour passed by and I decided that I would go ask to see when our pizza would be coming out. At the counter was the young man and a your girl. I asked when the pizza would be ready and pointed out nicely that it had been an hour. The boy with his giants baseball cap was every rude, he said "soon" and said he didn't know what to tell me, as the girl chuckled. I t more

Billy your an idiot. You come in at 7:45 on a Saturday, the staff at this time is not worrying if the garbage in the bathroom is full..why you ask, well its because its 7:45 on a freaking Saturday a$$hole. Did you not notice we were busy? And please tell me a pizza place that sweeps under the tables after a customer leaves. Get real buddy! more

The pizza here is very good, but the place is always a mess. On 3 separate occasions I got dirty glasses, they were out of plates last time, the tables are rarely bussed the floors under the tables are not swept between diners, the floor behind the counter is filthy, the salad bar is not maintained and a huge mess, the restrooms are no very clean and the trash in the restrooms overflows. All three visits by me were on Saturday nights, I arrived at 7:45 every time. This time after I exchanged a glass I got that had lipstick on it, I was given one that was cracked from top to bottom. Yuck! Never again. Too bad though, as I said, the pizza is great, but one has to wonder if the visible areas are so filthy and ill maintained, what's going on behind the scenes? more
