The Village Hide-A-Way is one of the truly hidden gems in Kalamazoo County. The menu is outstanding and the portions are a great value. Great Grinders, Pizza, Burgers, Gyros, Salads and more. The atmosphere is pleasant and the people are friendly. The owner, Scott Plankenhorn, goes out of his way to make people feel welcome. Every Sunday for Lions games he puts together a free buffet for patrons to get together and enjoy (or not depending on the Lions) while everyone cheers (or not depending on the Lions). It is not an upscale or pretentious surrounding. Rather it is the type of place where friends get together to enjoy themselves.
