I had high hopes for this little cafe in the Siesta Key Village but was quickly disappointed by the rude greeting, slow inattentive service and barely mediocre food. We have started to vacation on the key annually and have to say there are many better choices nearby on the Key and just off. more

Excellent food and service 2/4/2010

Poor 1/13/2010

Two really bad experiences, I won't be back. Staff is rude and very loud, food mediocre at best, poor quality ingredients and greasy eggs. more

not for the better 12/25/2008

After many happy breakfasts over the years we were disappointed to be served cold fried eggs and then have an enormous 20% 'gratuity' added to our check. Reputations earned over the years of hard work are destroyed by one simple foolish act. We've since tried the Broken Egg and it is everything a breakfast bar should be! When a business can get by with no repeat business a fat gratuity strategy could be worth it; until then..... more

Stuffed French Toast 8/20/2005

A popular Siesta Key breakfast spot is the Village Cafe. Open for breakfast and lunch I liked the French Toast. stuffed with cream cheese and apricot preserves. I wouldn't recommend it with the apples however. A smallish place but worth the wait. Outdoor seating let's you watch the busy foor trafic in the Siesta Key village. more
