Look forward to returning. 2/10/2011

We stayed at the Villa Rosa Inn over the weekend of January 14 & 15th. As we walked in, before we even checked, we were invited for the happy hour. The hotel offered amazing appetizers & wine. The room was nice & tidy. We are looking forward to returning to the Villa! more

Very pleasant experience 2/8/2011

We were very pleased with our experience here. The apartment was light and comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Enjoyed having hotel facility available. There were some things not here for longer term housekeeping. I had to buy dish towel, potholder, sponges, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, plastic wrap, paring knife, colundar, etc. Otherwise very good. It also would have been nice to have two more functional straight chairs. more

A perfect Santa Barbara vacation! 1/27/2011

We loved the Villa Rosa Inn! The location was perfect - 1 block from the beach and state street and pier and maybe 2-3 blocks from the train station. It is a warm, charming, beautiful old fashioned inn. Ouur room had a living room, kitchen, 2 HD tv's and a jacuzzi. The included breakfast and happy hour w/ wine and cheese was an enjoyable touch. The cool waffle maker made delicious waffles, too! We want to come back here again, bring our bike on the train as it worked out great, and recommend it to any one for a perfect Santa Barbara vacation! more

Love the atmosphere. 1/13/2011

We love the atmosphere - the cont.breakfast and the wine and cheese meals add a very nice touch - this give it the feel of a bed and breakfast which is small and intimate. We also really appreciate the soft, uninvasive music. Great location - right on the main drag. Staff kind and accomadating - we will return! more

Beware the dreaded room #8 8/14/2003

Great brochure & website; So much so that we didn't recognize the place when we checked into the closet called room 8. We decided to grin and bear it. At 3 a.m. we awoke to a stifling heat. Nothing to do but open the doors and hang a blanket so as not to be completely exposed to other guests. Worked OK until someone decided to use the pool at 6:30 a.m. We did complain and moved to a different room. Much larger, somewhat nicer. It's clear we were given the worst room in the place to begin with. New room was fine, but no blinds on the shower window , so we were able to provide a free show to whomever should be passing by. If you ever stay at the Villa Rosa and they book you into room 8, run for your life to the nearest Motel 6. more
