Yea....this place is not cool. The only good part is that I have a nice view from my room. My car got broken into within the first 2 weeks of living here. They stole my atm card, my driver's licence and my stereo. Every night my sister sees teenage boys snooping around people's cars. The manager forgets everything. When I moved in they didn't even provide me a key. They gave me their copy and told me to go to Walmart and make my own copy, then return their copy. The manager spends too much money on the landscaping. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but I think she should be putting some of that money into the pest problem. She makes rules and doesn't enforce them, that's why there are crazy kids at the pool past 6pm....(her rule is that they need to be out of the pool by 6) There is a lot of noise....the list can go on......DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! Anybody for swimming in a cold, green colored pool? Villa Napoli Apartments in Chula Vista offers just such a slimy experience on a hot summer weekend. The managers don't want to be bothered so while they're off to the casinos sipping margaritas, the neighborhood shows up to wash in the sparkling pool only pictured on all the rental websites. As the pool fills with guests who eat burritos in the pool and play pickle in the middle with a grimy football, the grounds get trashed and parking is hard to find because of all the free-loaders who park in the tenant spots. It's not just the lack of care for the pool and parking lot that bothers me so much, but the lack of overall management that makes this place not a home, but a dump. Half the washers and dryers are broken and management refuses to fix them. You would think that something like a laundry room that makes THEM more money would be kept up nice. Oh, but that's right they ARE making money from all the quarters that they refuse to return. Most tenants don't have the luxury of doing their own laundry onsite anymore if they really want to be sure everything gets properly washed and dried. Most are taking their laundry elsewhere. I'm not just taking my laundry out. I am out. I am out of here. I'm tired of the signs posted everywhere telling me why the pool or laundry room or front hall where the mailboxes are have been locked up without notice. I'm tired of the water being shut off without due notice. I am tired of notes from the management being put in my MAILBOX without a stamp. Isn't that a federal offense? I'm tired of walking through trash in the parking lot just to get to my truck. I'm tired of trying to find the manager in the office during regular hours. I paid good money when I chose to move here, but unfortunately it was a bad choice. Their lease is like doing time in prison here. When my time is over I got to go. I want to go now! I have just completed a six month lease with this apartment complex, and I am sad to say that my stay here was a little less then pleasant. My initial thought was that it was a reasonable size apartment for a small amount of cash. But during my stay I observed uncleanliness of the parking lot, with odors that I can smell inside my home when I opened my screen, there was no air conditioning, and it would get so hot that the walls would began to sweat. Speaking of walls, they have been painted over so many times that it is beginning to peel. One day I returned home to a million ants on my patio, and was instructed by a manager to simply pour bleach on them instead of them calling an exterminator. Molded refrigerators, low water pressure, and not to mention bad unfriendly military customer services to name a few things. I was recently scheduled to deploy and this complex would not honor my orders to release me from my lease, agreement, I tried to receive help from their cooperate office and got customer service worse than the main management, as she related my instance wit h her personal experience, claiming she had been a navy wife for twenty years and she knew that I could not be deployed at the drop of a hat because I am in the NAVY. What her experience had to do with me I would never understand, but I will say is this ?I will never recommend moving into this place, not even to my own worse enemy.? more
