Hi,\r \r I purchased from Villa Hand Car wash in Salinas, CA a complete clay and application of what I am told (by Villa) was a top of the line Meguiars product; some sort of polymer coating that was to far exceed any Carnauba off-the-shelf product like Turtle Wax or Rain Dance; they said it was guaranteed for a year. \r \r My truck normally sits and I do not use it much. I went there and told them that and that I wanted a superior product that would provide a reasonably length of protection against the elements. They were happy to up-sell me to a polymeric product they said was of the heavy duty nature I was seeking. Now it has been only 2-1/2 months since they applied the expensive coating the water won't even bead when I rinse the vehicle except on the sides. I took it back thinking they missed the hood and roof and they stone walled me in so far as not admitting it was either a poor application job or a poor product. When I commented off-the-cuff that I had had better 2-1/2 month performance with the off-the-shelf products from the local super market the discussion deteriorated to the point where I was to come back with my product, they would wash and apply Meguiar's to one half of the truck and mine on another half and then I would come back 2-1/2 months later so as to ascertain the longevity of the two products. The owner wanted me to test his products supplied by Meguiar's against Safeway's Rain Dance or Turtle Wax. Never once did the owner consider that had the roles been reversed he would have been unhappy, too. Absolutely Ridiculous.\r \r I am so unimpressed with both the Meguiar's product and the attitude of the owner of Villa car wash that neither will get my business or, for Villa, the business of four of my associates that I know patronize Villa, and their wives and family. And, let's hope, too, that they tell their friends and they tell their friends ...ad infinitum... and maybe a good owner will take the place over as it is an otherwise great location going to and from the Monterey Peninsula.\r \r Villa Car Wash: Please Do Not Patronize more

Villa is HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL place to get your car washed. I took my black truck to get a basic inside & out cleaning and also payed an extra fee for the undercarrrage to be washed. I returned an hour later to a scratched and still dripping with mud truck. I now have a huge scratch that is consistent with wiping motions down the length of the drivers side. I talked to the man on staff and he offered nothing to compensate and mockingly said to file a small claims report. I do not suggest ever going to Villa carwash, thats if there still there when im done. more

I have been a customer of Villa Car Wash for many years. I took my vehicle to the carwash late Friday afternoon in preparation for a weekend trip. After work, we loaded our trunk and when I opened the rear passenger door to put my jacket on the seat, I noticed deep ZIGZAG gouges in the leather upholstery. These were clearly fresh gouges. It was late on Friday and we were leaving town, we brought the damage to the attention of the carwash owner the following Monday. The owner insisted the damage could not possibly have been caused by his workers as they all wear aprons (!), he knows his employees and they would never cause accidental or intentional damage (!), and, besides, there were 2 marks behind the front seats of our 3 year old vehicle.(!) Several things struck me beginning to end: 1.) When I arrived on Friday, a young man approached who I thought was going to vacuum the car; instead he was there to take my order. Totally deadpan, he did not greet me, he did not speak ? not a word - so I asked him if he understood. He gave a short nod and I exited to the register to pay hoping nothing had been lost in translation and that nobody would get shot. 2.) I waited. It seemed a long time for the car to be finished, so I went outside/found my vehicle with the keys on the wheel, the doors closed and nobody standing nearby. I asked if my car was ready and after much discussion among the workers in Spanish somebody took my receipt & tip money and I left. The carwash was not busy? First time nobody poked a head inside to say the car was ready; my bet is they knew there was a problem. 3.) The owner?s irrational explanation that none of his workers could have done this damage - accidentally or by intent, was laughable; not possible that an errant sharp object from one of his employees - watch, ring, key, key ring, rivet, knife, razor- could have caused these gouges. He said I should have inspected the seat before I left ? an acknowledgment Villa Car Wash can?t be trusted. Apparently, the owner of Villa Car Wash has no loyalty to long time customers. On Monday the attendant greeted me with a lengthy record of the business we provided them over time. Amazingly, it didn?t occur to anyone we had never complained in the past - even if the quality of the work was spotty. My husband is a businessman, he values his customers, and he would have made this right. Cons: Use at your own risk more
