Awesome store! Huge selection of vintage video games! They even have systems! I love buying the older games here for nostalgic reasons as well as a cheaper alternative for my toddler boys, why spend $60 on a new game they're just going to scratch up, when I can buy some durable cartridge games for their N64 for $5 a piece!? Can't go wrong here! BTW was kind of hard to find, I drove right past it, it's next door to the 7-11! more

I just love this store! It has always had exactly what I am looking for when I go in. The prices are the best in town, and the quality of the game discs is superb! As a matter of fact; I am heading out the door right now to go there since I need an adapter for a friend's Game Boy more

One of the greatest stores ive ever been to when i go there i feel like i belong there they give cheap prices for games and give high prices for trades they have games for every console and there very kind and have great customer support dont go to gamestop go here more

Great place 5/6/2010

pretty good place for new games,ps3,xbox360,wii,but not the best, gamestop is better. but anything ps2, xbox or older it's the best place in the Portland, largest selection and cheapest prices. looking for anything older there is no place even close to as good. more

Great place for great games 12/25/2009

These guys are awesome. Not only did I get two really rare games (Final Fantasy III on the SNES and Final Fantasy VII Black Label on the PS2) but both were in near mint condition complete with everything at a fair price. They even knocked $10 for me to buy both. Really great customer service, which, unfortunately, seems to be more and more a dying art. I WILL be coming back for more in the future. Pros: More video game stuff than any other place in the area Cons: slightly higher prices than some other places more

Best selection in town 5/18/2009

I have been going to this place ever since i drove by it 5 years ago and went in looking for NES games to expand my collection... I get rare and hard to find games there and my husband is a movie fanatic and there isnt a day that i dont leave with out getting 5 to 10 movies and i only pay at most 50 bucks its incredible and the people there are so friendly this is my number one stop for games and movies. Pros: cheap prices for used movies, consols, video games. more

GREAT LOCATION ON FOSTER, RIGHT OFF THE I-205 FREEWAY. ALWAYS HAS A GOOD SELECTION OF GAMES AND CONSOLES TO CHOOSE FROM. Best Video Game Store EVER 7/26/2008

I can't believe I've never heard of this place before! My friend took me there one day; he'd never been there either. We're sure glad we found it! Their selection is great, and their prices are awesome. Screw all those other, more well know retail places. This is the place you definitely want to go when you're looking for a game; used or new. i would never go anywhere else... have you ever walked in to a gamestop or someplace similar and been treated like you know absolutley nothing and should be grateful for being in their store? yeah... VGW is without question the BEST video game/ movie place in portland. the customer service is fantastic and the selection is extensive and very reasonably priced. do yourself a favor... next time you're in the mood to buy/trade/sell... go to VGW. you won't feel like you have to wash the nerd stank off when you leave. Pros: always leave happy... Cons: spend way too much time there... more

Video games Galore! 6/11/2008

What a great store! I was visiting from out of town and I stopped in to see what the store was. I found a game I have been looking for forever there!!! I couldn't believe it! And the people there are so nice, very family oriented. I'll definitely be back VGW!!! Thanks guys :D more
