In July 2001 I purchased a computer from HSN and also purchased a three-year extended warranty. The extended warranty was turned over to Video Aid Corporation (VAC). I contacted VAC in January 2005 for service to the monitor. I was told that the monitor was too old for service and was offered $95 as settlement, which I accepted. It's six months now and I have not received the $95. I have called VAC numerous times and am only told that they are "backlogged" and have no idea when my claim will be settled. I have called HSN to complain and they offer no assistance. I don't recommend doing business with VAC in any capacity. If you purchase a service agreement, please ensure that VAC is not the company you will be dealing with.
