We decided to check this place out on a reccommendation, and it looked pretty generic, like a lot of mexican places we've been to in Houston. It was full on friday at 7:30, but not crowded, so we had no wait getting a table for 2, but we did have a problem finding parking, which is unusual in Katy. Due to a mixup with the servers, we had quite a wait in placing our orders, but once done, service was quick, friendly, and familiar. We loved (LOVED) the chips and salsas they brought out, fresh from the oven we could see on the patio, and that really set the tone. Margaritas were OK (skip the strawberry rita), and well priced. The fresh guacamole was absolutely delicious, and a small was plenty for two. When we first ordered, I asked about the tamales since I love them, and our server advised us not to try them, as they weren't anything special. When our orders came out I was slightly disappointed because it all looked so generic, but I was in for a surprise. The chicken had great flavors, the tortillas were amazing, the stuffed avocado was crisp, and the mexican rice was fresh. It even tasted great the next day after being microwaved. Fantastic place, we'll definitely be back.
Pros: great food, nice patios, friendly service, good pricing
Cons: not enough parking on busy days
