I wasted a lunch hour driving across town to buy ""meat"" here as it was listed in the meat market section of this useless website. Funny thing is, THE PLACE ONLY SELLS SMOKED MEA...

Wonderful meats!! 6/16/2010

I'll make the drive from Salem to Vic's. Nice local business, a pleasure to support. The owner will let you sample anything in the display, but be warned, once he does prepare for indecision. His meats though seemingly simple are fantastic and you can walk away with a handful of different varieties for under $20. I highly recommend a visit to this local business. Pros: Quality European meats, inexepensive, no preservatives Cons: Not open til midnite. Only one location. more

Charming, old country, love it! 4/29/2009

Owner/proprietor, Victor, the man who will greet you is delightful and honest; that's a rarity these days! The kielbasa is fantastic, and I found real pancetta in this establishment. Victor has been in the business over 50 years. Hope he doesn't retire soon, and that he has someone trained in the same ""old country"" ways. Funny thing is, THE PLACE ONLY SELLS SMOKED MEAT.\r \r How foolish of me to associate a MEAT MARKET with the sale of RAW MEAT. Perhaps that could have been indicated somewhere in the REVIEW or DESCRIPTION of the place!\r \r I should have known better than to trust this website of junk recommendations. All you need to do is go there, taste the meats, talk to Victor and you will then know why this place is such a treasure. Pros: The whole nine yards. Cons: Nothing more
