This man ruined my wedding dress. I'm not kidding.
And he does not have any insurance. So he won't pay for damages.
I thought I was being financially prudent and buying a sample dress with a broken zipper. I took it to him to fix the zipper. Easy fix, right?
Apparently not. He got something on the dress while fixing it and without telling us - SENT IT TO A DRY CLEANER!
Long story short, dress ruined. Water stains, melted pearls (no, pearls on wedding dresses are not real, at least not since the last royal wedding in europe), shrunken fabric that doesn't fit the lining and a totally new color for the dress.
Dry Cleaner? Yeah, he admitted he ruined it and felt terrible and is making amends. He was a nice man who made a mistake. He was not experienced at cleaning wedding dresses since those are specialized cleaners.
But the tailor? Jose Santos (no, his name isn't victor, he inherited the business from someone else and kept the name). He is one of the biggest jerks I've ever come across. ""Yeah, the dress is ruined, so sue me."" That is a direct quote. Unwilling to take any responsibility or compensate in any way. Even made my mother PAY for the zipper to get the dress back from him. Yes, after the dress was ruined with damage that was visible from across the room.
I would never trust this man with anything. Anyone can make a mistake, but to not take any responsibility for it whatsoever and to basically spit in someone's face over a ruined wedding dress is the lowest you can get.
Please don't take your clothes to this man. He is truly awful.
