When you hear the word hero most people think of firemen, policemen or soldiers. There is no doubt that these people are heroes. However, when I hear the word hero, I think of the staff at Victoria Gardens of Frisco. I placed my mother at Victoria Gardens of Frisco after a poor experience at a brand new facility in Frisco. I learned the hardway that fancy buildings doesn't mean good care. By the time we found our way to Victoria Gardens of Frisco her hip was broken and she had given up. She felt life was not worth living. The team immediately began to work with her. Because she broke her hip, she was not able to walk. The therapist began working with her, teaching her ways to transfer safely from her bed to the wheelchair. After a while they had her using a walker and finaly walking independently. Because she saw the same nurses, therapist and CNA's everyday, she really got to know them, and they really got to know her. The most amazing thing happened, as my mother's body began to heal and the bonds with the staff grew, she began to smile and look forward to each day. This team gave me my mother back. That is why when I hear the word hero, I think of Victoria Gardens of Frisco. If you have a loved one that needs help, I would encourage you to consider Victoria Gardens of Frisco. Victoria Gardens of Frisco understands that each person is unique and deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and a little love.
