I agree, the home is beautiful, and our sales guy was very nice, but once we bought it and it was placed, they won't come back out to fix all the little things. Paint on our cedar...

I agree, the home is beautiful, and our sales guy was very nice, but once we bought it and it was placed, they won't come back out to fix all the little things. Paint on our cedar deck, unpainted areas of the house,heat vents that dont work,back door that we didn't order with a lock that we had to use channel lock pliers to fully engage lock. The list goes on, but we call, and they sweep us under the rug, and won't send anyone out. Very disappointed and may have to call the company president too. more

Hey Becky J should be thankful. She was able to get the president to check into what was happening and got things done. Many times people are not that fortunate. I know people that never get their issue resolved. If she likes the home remember that the next time they look at buying. Also do not be hard on the manufacturer. Unless they hear from you they may not be aware of the short comings of their dealer network. When push came to shove they backed her up. more

buyer beware 9/5/2006

Vic Cox Homes sells Karsten Homes. Karsten is a great brand with the industry best warranty. However, dealing with Vic Cox was a nightmare. They never did anything on time and used unlicensed contractors. Their work had to be redone and it was generally a terrible experience for us. I had to get the regional sales director and the president of the company on the phone before anything remotely positive started to happen. We would caution anyone thinking of buying from them to think twice....or maybe three times. more
